Popular Post Integrity28
Personally, I think our fans are underestimating the Hogan signing. He’s no stud, but very serviceable... and he belongs in the NFL, which is nice. 21 2

Popular Post jetstream23
DLine depth is great in the 3-4 configuration. That second team is a hungry group of young guys and those players should see the field at least 30-40% of the time in rotations IMO. And, the speculation that Williamson took a pay cut because he was going to be a backup, combined with rumors of Cashman earning a starting ILB spot alongside Hewitt don't seem to have come to fruition. Although as Gregg Williams likes to point out the depth chart isn't extremely important here because of how he rotates guys....especially on the Line and the LB group. EDIT: Another thought... nice to see Bless Austin named starter. He was in the GW doghouse last year after a couple of blown coverages. With Wilson, Hairston, etc. it would have been easy to name a more veteran guy as the starter. Austin must have earned it which is great. If he becomes a capable CB2 then we're in good shape having Desir and the upside of a healthy Bryce Hall once he returns (another 2nd round caliber talent like Austin who dropped multiple rounds in the draft because of injury). 5
JohnnyLV
I really did not think the Jets would start Becton out at LT I thought they would try and protect him by using him on the right side
Beerfish
Welp, this is the team, they are going to have to overachieve to do anything this year. Man we need a natural olb pass rusher, been saying this for a decade mind you. Please let Becton be good. 3

We threw D'Brick out there from Day 1 and never looked back for a decade. It's hard to get that lucky twice but Becton definitely has a chance. I think if there was any concern they could have started Fant over there for the first few weeks with Becton at RT and nobody would have questioned it. They must think Becton is ready to roll.

And, just like this past offseason with Perriman and Mims, we're on the "Sign one, Draft one" plan again for next Spring. There's a plan here and I think the trajectory is good. I could see a real slugfest for that WR5/WR6 spot next year with really capable guys.

David Harris
Biggest surprise is Avery starting. I’m happy and relieved he’s progressed enough to start. He was one of our best 2 years ago. Between the paycut and Cashman getting so many reps I didn’t think this is where we were at.

Augustiniak
Throw in mims and the jets really have enough weapons at least on paper. I wonder if perine will be ready for week 1.

Like Crowder, Darnold can trust that Hogan will be where he is supposed to be when he is supposed to be, eliminating one less thing from Darnolds plate.

Popular Post RobR
We had posters on here saying that Becton should start out the season as a back-up and even as a Guard. If he’s healthy he opens up the offense and gives us a fighting chance in this game.I think two things stick out to me. 1. We were hearing last week that Avery Williamson was not starting. I’m very happy to see that he is! He’s the best LB on the team! 2. Bless won the starting job! Good for him! I’m liking his rise to becoming a starter and really hope he can hold up under the weekly rigors of playing a starting role! Congrats young man!
