1. Lamar will have a significant injury thanks to Madden curse

2. disagree.  Colts make the playoffs go 9-7 or better and win the AFC South

3. Brady has a sick year.  Bucs go 10-6 or better

4. Dallas wins NFC East easily

5. Agree.  Giants offense will score points but their defense is horrible

I'm going with bold predictions only here:

  1.  Despite the heavy investment in the 2020 draft in the position, zero rookie WRs end up having a 1,000+ yard season.
  2.  Noah Fant will have the 3rd-most productive TE season in the league, behind Kelce and Kittle.
  3.  The Carolina Panthers, led by the Matt Rhule/Teddy Bridgewater combo, shock everyone to win the NFC South.
  4.  Based on key metrics, the Indianapolis Colts will finish the season with the # 1 ranked defense.
  5.  Breshad Perriman finishes the season with 9 TDs.  Only 7 other NFL receivers will finish with more.

1. Dallas is no better under McCarthy and misses the playoffs again

2. Jamal Adams has a very mediocre season for Seattle

3. Indianapolis winds up with #1 pick once again tanking at right time to get the "generational" QB prospect

4. Brady shows his age, Bucs disappoint

5. Jets have All pro punter, DROY in Davis, OROY in Mims, Jets win division

Well damn that's bold.  Even if you don't have faith in their QBs they have talent all over the field.  DeForest Buckner, Darius Leonard, Justin Houston, Malik Hooker on defense and Quenton Nelson, T.Y. Hilton (in a contract year), Jonathan Taylor, Anthony Costanzo, Ryan Kelly and Marlon Mack on offense.

Maybe the Titans and Texans get past Indy in the division but that team isn't going to tank.  Even if Rivers sucks or gets injured Jacoby Brissett is one of the top backup QBs in the league.  They wouldn't exactly be throwing Curtis Painter under center.

1. Fitz has a fitzmagic type season in honor of his mother who just passed. Tua never sees the field. Dolphins win the AFC East at 10-6 and then get destroyed in the playoffs.

2. Brady and the Bucs go 8-8. Belichick and Stidham go 5-11, I'm pretty sure we can count on Gronk and Cam Newton to show up on the injury list by week 4 and that's why.

3. Darnold and Gase take the New York Jets to a respectable 9-7 record this year, beating some top tier teams in the process and become media Darlings in New York. Certain posters on Jetnation disappear cuz they're busy eating too much Crow to post.

4. Kyler Murray, Ryan Tannehill, Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen all flounder this year and their teams go nowhere. Lots of 7-9 and 8-8. They're not surprising anymore.

5. Matt Rhule realizes way too late that his plan to just abuse Christian McCaffrey didn't work and the Panthers finish 5-11, and the Saints win the Superbowl.

Now that was probably a little bit more than 5 predictions, but nobody really knows what happened to Waldo after graduation???

Yeah but they kinda sucked last year as a team and Rivers is toast

1.  Colts win the South. Taylor ROY.

2. Josh McCown making 12k a week sitting at home named ""Smartest Man on Earth award" by NFL.

3. Giants in running for top pick in draft.  Miss on tie breakers and have third pick in draft. Daily news claims Patriot way Giants are on their way to a Super Bowl next year. Gettleman can't get his mask off.

4. Eagles implode. QB benched. Coach fired.

5.  Carolina has most penalties for delay of game as Rhule insists when game is on the line the team kneels and prays for a winning formula.

These 5, i consider near-certainties, and therefore have no problem publicizing:

1. Colts win 10+ games.

2. Bills win the AFC East.

3. Joe Burrow wins OROY.

4. Mitchell Trubisky doesn't start 16 games.

5. NFL games will be interrupted by league-backed protests and demonstrations right around election time. "HOW CAN YOU PLAY FOOTBAW WHEN PPL ARE DYING??!!! SILENCE IS COMPLIANCE!! SILENCE IS VIOLENCE!!!!".

They went 7-9 and were -12 in Net Points, THEN went out and spent big money on DeForest Buckner and added a decent corner in Xavier Rhodes, without losing anyone of much significance.  Meanwhile Darius Leonard, Anthony Walker and Malik Hooker are entering their primes.  They also will have one of the best run games in the league due to their fantastic OL and "1-1 punch" of Taylor and Mack.

Rivers could throw the ball into the dirt every pass play and they still won't pick first.  And if he's really that bad, like I said, they can just throw Brissett under center and be fine at QB.  Not great, but fine.

1. The Jets are competitive but just not good enough to win 7-9.

2.  The Raiders win 10 games and make the playoffs.

3.  The Steelers are as good as ever and win the AFC Championship.

4.  The Brady experiment is almost a complete success as the Bucs make it to the NFC Championship game.

5.  The Cowboys have the best D in the NFL and win the NFC Championship game/

How about 5 JETSY predictions:

1. J.Jenkins has a career high 10 sack season then walks in FA.

2. Bless proves himself to be the best CB on the Jets. Yup a 6th round Macc pick.

3. QW has a solid season but the stats don't jump out at you so Jet fans turn on him.

4. Sam Darnold keeps improving and puts up very good numbers but not good enough for Jet fans so they turn on him.

5. Bell stays healthy, is a model citizen, has a bounce back season, rushes for over 1,000yrds, has close to 80 catches and +/- 8 TDs but he's too expensive, Jet fans want more and they turn on him.

Sounds about right?

Call me a homer if you want.  1.The Raiders will win the AFC West 2. Wr B Edwards will win OROY .3.  D Arnette will win DROY 4.  Arden Key will have 10 sacks coming off the bench 5. The Raiders will revenge that loss to the Jets by lightning that Jet defense like a Christmas tree.

You're not just a homer.  You're my FAVORITE homer.  Other than Homer Simpson of course.

Chiefs called on to raise African American flag in addition to social justice messages

The Chiefs will have the phrases 'End Racism' and 'It Takes All of Us' in their end zones

NFL set to kick off season amid COVID pandemi  The Kansas City Chiefs have been called on to raise the African American flag as part of the franchise’s heightened sense of social justice awareness, which the league has committed to this season.

Pat Clarke, who is an activist in the Kansas City, Mo., area, wrote in a letter to the organization that the flag should be raised at Arrowhead Stadium along with the social justice messages in the end zones and the special decals that will be placed on players’ helmets, according to FOX4 KC.

NFL WILL PLAY BLACK NATIONAL ANTHEM PRIOR TO WEEK 1 GAMES, REPORT SAYS

“You look at the NBA, they have Black Lives Matter on the court. The coaches have it on their shirts. The players have it on their backs, but that flag flying above that says a lot right there,” Clarke said at a press conference last week.

Of the African American flag, Clarke said: “The red is for the blood, the black is for the people and the green is for the glory.”

Clarke said he hoped Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt would hear him out.

2020 NFL SEASON: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW AHEAD OF KICKOFF

“Some great things can come out of this. It’s just that it’s going to take great people to make it happen,” he said, according to the station. “Clark Hunt is apparently a great person because he put together a great team. And that’s all we are trying to do is put together the right team so America and Black America can work together to do what we need to do.”

The Chiefs will have the phrases “End Racism” and “It Takes All of Us” in their end zones, as will every team in the league this season.

Week 1 games will feature the Black national anthem along with “The Star-Spangled Banner” before kickoffs.

It will be interesting what the reaction of the fan base will be concerning the combing of sports and politics. The last semblance of this was after 9/11. That tended to unify the nation....... I am wondering how the BLM protests and the civil unrest in many cities will play out on televised games with no fans in the stands?

NBA ratings are down significantly, and you know the NFL owners are all about the ledger sheet.

This has nothing to do with the thread's intent.  Keep it in the Club.

1) @The Crusher finally relents and tries his first green thing ever. Collard greens. Weeps for days over the  culinary delights he's been missing

2) @T0mShane comes to the conclusion that McDougald is an even bigger prick than Jamal Adams. Begins a trade-McDougald coalition, begins to gather money for a billboard

3) @jetsrule128 self publishes a memoir entitled "From the Bushes; the Parry Nickerson Saga"

4) @JiF finally admits it's time to stop drafting Florida Gators

5) @freestater gives up pot. Lol, no.
