Always said he was overrated

not just now

All right.  Well then I will say that's not a great take, given that he's done nothing to earn that kind of billing.  All he does is produce (101.0 career QB rating, 71/29 TD:INT ratio) and win (24-13 record + a playoff win) for a historically bad and poorly run franchise.

He seems like a really good dude to boot, doing a lot of great charity work over the course of his career, like when he gave his first NFL game check to Hurricane Harvey victims.  Not to mention he won a national title and looked great doing it.  Not that either of those things should really impact how he should be viewed as an NFL player, but they don't hurt, either.

He was a big armed QB that played a lot of sandball in college.....I'm sure the Big 12 stigma played into it a bit.  I completely whiffed on him....think I gave him a 4th round grade.

Same.

Not my proudest whiff, but I'll own it.

Are you actually watching Mahomes right now?

Did you read what I wrote?

Sam Darnold is the #4 quarterback in the AFC.  Has nothing to do with Mahomes.  Just shows how little QB talent there is in the AFC right now.

The AFC is wide open? Lmao ... Kansas City will win 14 games minimum

Just get in the postseason, anything can happen.

I’ve seen the 12-4 Drew Brees Chargers taken out by the Chad Pennington Jets. I’ve seen the 14-2 Lamar Ravens taken out by the Tannehill Titans.

Oh yeah, the AFC is wide open for sure.  The 2-7 spots are all up for grabs.

# 1 (and really the only spot that matters with the new playoff format) is KC's barring an injury to Mahomes.

Did KC clinch the top berth yet or is that still up for grabs?
