Gase Doesn’t Rule out IR for Denzel Mims

After injuring his “good” hamstring at practice yesterday, Jets rookie receiver Denzel Mims did not participate in today’s session and is unlikely to play on Sunday against the Bills and it could be a lot worse.

Adam Gase said there is a chance Denzel Mims lands on the injured reserve. He will talk to Joe Douglas about that. #Jets

According to Connor Hughes of the Athletic, Gase has not ruled out the possibility of placing Mims on injured reserve, meaning he would be out for at least a few weeks.

Already thin at receiver, if the Jets were to be without Mims, they would be down to Breshad Perriman, Chris Hogan, Jamison Crowder and Braxton Berrios.  Certainly a receiver or two would be added via free agency or added to the active roster from the practice squad.

OBJ did the same thing if it makes anyone feel better

Injured hammy in August, re-aggravated it, missed first 4 games.

Not saying Mims will end up becoming OBJ, but let’s not write the kid off

Does Mims have conventional tastes in his women (or even men for that matter) ?

This damn team has absolutely no damn luck. I thought the Namath curse was over after 50 years. It’s ridiculous with these damn injuries to a particular group all the time.
Last year LBs & Oline, this year WRs, 1986 Dline. How the hell can Darnold get any continuity with all these damn injuries on a team already thin at WR?

No sane individual would write off a player because of minor hammy issues then again this is jetnation so your point is actually necessary.

How many other WRs are expected out this week?

If we had a stable of WRs like the Chiefs, this wouldn't be as big of an issue

In addition to being injury prone Devin Smith also was terrible. We have no idea if Mims can play.

I'm just talking about from a draft and injury perspective.

Both 2nd round injured WRs that miss the beginning of their rookie years.

No comparison yet in regards to play.

Mahomes weapons are ridiculous! Top 3 WR, top 2 TE, Edwards- Helaire is crazy talented, Watkins would be our best WR, it’s almost not fair.
How in the hell do they fit all these players under the salary cap?
They even have big time free agent defensive players.
