How about an OC who's offense have been ranked as above for scoring offense in his 11 seasons as an oc?

As opposed to the Gase great track record.

6 years top 3 in the league, never below 11

"Throughout his time with the Saints, he has been an important figure in the planning and preparation of the team’s offensive attack, thats been ranked first in the National Football League in yardage in six seasons and in the top nine each campaign of his time as offensive coordinator."

Many fans here wanted Rhule or McCarthy instead of Gase.  To be fair, the three of them all lost this weekend and are collectively 0-3 right now.  Rhule lost to the fricken Raiders at home..... a far cry from losing to Buffalo IMO.

The raiders are not a bad football team at all.

Sure lets pick perhaps the one and only candidate I would want less than Gase.

He's been in N.O. with Sean Payton the entire 14 years and still hasn't had a head coaching offer so what does that tell you?

I'm not sure, what does it tell you?  That there are a lot of stupid teams out there?

Hey maybe he likes it there, maybe he was not head coach material to start off.

A guy like Adam Gase has one good year under peyton manning and jumps into the HC ranks a couple years later.

The Jets have hired essentially coordinators for their last 3 coaches so if you are going to go that route may as well get a good one.

Hire him for the job of president of football ops and as you say have the owners step aside.

Accomplishes nothing.

Oh yes it does accomplishes a lot, gets rid of a terrible head coach and perhaps saves a young Qb

What reason is there to think that Greg Williams would actually be much of an upgrade?

He would not be at all the long term solution, interim.  Gase is pure awful, as in wrecking QB bad.  He has to go and it almost does not matter who takes over for the rest of this year.
