Best Robby Anderson highlight ever?

Recommended Posts

So satisfying to watch those highlights, however it was unsettling knowing his career here will be a waste.

Delighted to see him doing well. Hope he tears the NFC apart.

Terrible decision not to sign him.

I liked Robbie, but he might be the Nerf Knife in the box of sharpest knives

Yeah but the dude is Tyreek Hill light, I would have loved to be able to see what kind of deep ball numbers he, and Sam could have had know that they have an improved OL.  All that cap space the Jets have it is criminal they didn’t bring Robbie back, AND still signed Perriman, Buffalo doubled Perriman every deep route he ran Sunday, they can’t do that with both Robbie, and Perriman on the field.

Look at the Cowboys they have Cooper, Gallup, and still drafted Lamb, the Jets could have done something similar in free agency by grabbing both, and still drafting Mims.  I understand not wanting to give Robbie a long term big money deal, but that wasn’t the case for him this year 2 years would have got it done, and been well worth it.

Can’t excuse Sam’s play Sunday it was really bad, like bad.  But Sam has always been like that really bad then really good, rinse repeat kind of.  He is 23 with no weapons so when he is bad it’s going to look real bad, say he had the kind of weapons say the 2015 team had he may get through some of those bad games with some help from weapons but now no chance shame.

Robby had 2 things you cant teach durability and Gamebreaking ability. He was a perfect #2 WR..  he is gonna have big year playing next to Moore

Hey dude don't worry about it they have cap space. Everyone knows cap space is the point of the NFL. Not to like win games or whatever. The goal is to play 16 games with the cheapest roster and coaches possible. That way the Johnsons make the money. Duh

Hit on a rare draft pick. Refuse to pay. Lose player. Sign terrible one to replace.

This is a fair comment.  It didn't need to be either/or with Robby and Perriman, especially with Perriman signing a 1-year deal

Robby Anderson is that kid in English class that you got pissed at because he took 10 minutes to read a five sentence paragraph.

Very true but he had the most chemistry with Sam.

Robby Anderson's not-so Purr-fect introduction to Panthers mascot

Formerly a Jet, wide receiver Robby Anderson obviously isn't too familiar with Panthers, or perhaps the feline species as a whole.

In the midst of his debut with the Panthers on Sunday, Anderson gazed into the wide-open Bank of America Stadium and looked upon a whiskered mascot dancing and clapping its heart out amid the sea of seats.

Anderson's quandary: "What's that bear doing?"

To which fellow wideout D.J. Moore wondered: "The bear?"

"Panther," Anderson said.

Moore: "That's Sir Purr."

And that's how Anderson met Sir Purr, the furry mascot who's been a Carolina Panthers standard for years and years before Anderson even debuted in the NFL.

Anderson, no doubt one with the animals and a wildlife expert, was able to showcase his skills on the field in the opener against the Raiders to the tune of 115 yards receiving and a score. And, he was likewise able to put on display his, um, eccentricity.

"Robby be trippin' sometimes," Panthers QB Teddy Bridgewater said, via the Charlotte Observer. "He be in his own little world."

Now Anderson's world is Carolina, though, and Purr's got seniority.

Hailing from Paw Creek, North Carolina, Purr is still a spry cat despite his age as he's been with the Panthers for decades. Archrival of Jaxson de Ville, Purr's not to be disrespected as he's "taller than most cats" and, well, he's a panther with giant, fearsome paws.

Above all else, though, he's a team player, it would seem. Thus, Purr has made a statement of sorts by altering his Twitter account and he's cool with being a bear, it would seem.

After all, Anderson did have a 100-yard day, so you've gotta roll with it. If only the Panthers could've pulled out a win, it would've been purr-fect.
