BornJetsFan1983
So this is what I see happening. Gore will have little to no success because of predictable play calls, we are going to see pretty much what we have see since last year. But all of a sudden at some point in the game you will see it play calls change, their will be an extra blocker, or just not the same ram play up the middle on first and second. Gase is going to want to prove Gore is better because he doesn't like bell. The thing is gore will fail at these higher chance of success runs. But if he were to do that Bell, we could have seen some success last year. I know they just came out and said Gase is an off mastermind or whatever, but this game will be the same thing again and Gase is going to be surprised that we had no off. 1
CanadienJetsFan
Gore playing against his former team. Would make for a great story should he run for +100yrds and a couple of TDs.

You might be onto something here. Gase is a narcissist who'd rather win an argument than win a game.

The QB isn't that good. We need to get out of the blocks quickly and will have a chance in this game. If we win next week and all of a sudden get to 2-1 all of the negative sky is falling fans are going to feel really uncomfortable. The thing is, no-one is running away with this division this year. We just need to hang around so when we come together we're still in it.

nycdan
This is a big deal: If Kittle can't go, or he's not near 100%, SF just doesn't have much in the way of scoring options. Of course neither do we, but they have to travel and it does narrow the talent gap considerably. It pretty much leaves them with Raheem Mostert as the only offensive threat. I'd expect a low-scoring game, something like 13-10 when the smoke clears. Ficken and Mann might be the co-MVPs.
Y3k
niners have Jordan reed who isn’t a bad replacement. He probably still has another 6 quarters of football left before he suffers a career ending concussion.

Losmeister
Gore ran six times on Sunday. He picked up 24 yards — an average of four yards per carry. Bell also ran six times. He gained 14 yards. Seven of those yards came on one carry. On Bell’s other five carries he averaged 0.71 yards per rush. Despite continued pleading from the coaching staff, Bell still runs like he’s in Pittsburgh. He gets the handoff and starts dancing behind the offensive line waiting for the perfect hole. He had this luxury with the Steelers. Seldom did he see loaded boxes with Antonio Brown split wide and the fear of the pass present with Ben Roethlisberger under center. That does not work with the Jets. Teams are loading the box and run blitzing. All Bell’s hesitation does is allow the defense more time to close around him.

Plus, Allen can hurt you with the run so you can't over pursue the QB. They also have a #1 receiver in Diggs. Niners will try and run the ball and that's our strength on D. If we don't hand them points they won't score 34.

Also, QBs make their own weapons and Garrapolo is a lot better than Sam. Dudes we never heard of will score TDs for them.

joewilly12
It appears the Giants have their Saquon Barkley replacement. The team is expected to sign former Falcons running back Devonta Freeman, according to NFL Network, if all goes well with his COVID-19 testing. Freeman, 28, spent six seasons with Atlanta, earning Pro Bowl honors in 2015 and ’16. Meanwhile the NY Jets signed 37 year old Frank Gore. Gore actually fights for yards. Gore actually stays out of the spotlight and seems to be a positive locker room influence. Gore acts like a professional. Gore has a contract that is affordable and short in duration. I know you love to complain about everything when things are bad, but Gore is not the problem. Complaining about Gore is like being on the Titanic as it is going down, and complaining that the fish was a little dry at dinner.
