Jetsfan80
Thru Week 3, the Jets are averaging an anemic 1.16 points per drive, easily last in the league. Tomorrow night, the bottom 2 teams in this metric face off. The Broncos (1.29) are # 31 in the league. The Giants (1.36), Eagles (1.55) and Chargers (1.62) currently round out the bottom 5. The top 5 is basically playing a completely different sport: Packers: 4.04 points per drive Seahaws: 3.30 Bills: 3.21 Chiefs: 3.14 Rams: 3.07

Jetsfan80
The Jets' points per drive jumped from 1.16 to 1.37 this week, and they are now ranked ahead of the Giants (1.24). Progress?? These were the 10 worst from the 1993-2019 period: 2006 Raiders: 0.78 2000 Browns: 0.82 2002 Texans: 0.85 1998 Eagles: 0.87 2004 Bears: 0.87 2000 Bengals: 0.91 1993 Bengals: 0.99 2000 Bears: 0.99 1993 Colts: 1.00 1995 Jets: 1.01 As you can see, this wouldn't even be the worst JETS team of all-time, offensively, if we're talking just points per drive.

Well, when compared to the top teams in 2020, the gap is enormous. The gap between the 2006 Raiders (0.76) and 2006 Colts (2.80), who were # 1 that year, is a good bit smaller than the gap between the 2020 Jets (1.30) and 2020 Packers (3.97) right now. I don't expect the Packers to keep up that pace. 4 points per offensive drive is insane. But the Jets might get worse!
