Sucks for the streak to end this way. I feel you. However no matter the outcome, how can one game answer a question the previous 27 have not? A FQB is defined by consistency. Even if Sam goes 400yds, 4 TDs and no INTs, the question remains unanswered.

Considering that Darnold has never had a 400+ yard game (his high is 341- against the Packers in 2018) and only has 1 game in his career to date with 4 TD's (Washington game last season), and in that game he still threw an INT, this would be quite the feat for him.

Anybody middling Bell?  I'm not.

All week, @Pac laughed at everyone who suggested Bell being out might be a blessing in disguise.

I'd certainly like to see a lot more action from Perine, however.

I'm not proud. I'll take beating SF's backups.

We couldn't beat the Jets 2nd team in camp.  Beating the 49ers 2nd team in a real game would be fine by me.

All these rookie receivers making immediate impacts. Jets draft the one that can’t get on the field.

He didn't have an injury history in college.

Remember when Kittle being out meant the Jets were gonna win for sure, cuz Vegas gets this stuff wrong?

lmao

So the Jets are cursed then?

Correct.  Cursed by awful ownership and a coaching staff that can't hire a good strength and conditioning coach.

It it's any consolation, the Panthers are down 21-0.  Robby Anderson has been held to 24 yards on 3 catches.  Less yards and catches than Chris Hogan.

I feel bad for the folks here that just wouldn’t listen to reason and thought this could be a good team. Put your energy elsewhere, friends.

@johnnysd still has no idea why anyone thinks the Jets are bad

We didn't have any holes to fill or anything.

You don't draft to fill holes.  Especially not when you have as many holes to fill as the Jets did.

JD knew Darnold isn't the guy.  4D Chess.

This will continue to happen until Adam Gase is gone. We might be the worst team in the league with him as the coach

Just like everything would be fixed by firing Todd Bowles, right?

Gase sucks and we need a new HC for sure.  But the roster has been the bigger problem than the coaching for a decade.

The Jets have scored fewer than 20 points in 11 games since the start of 2019 (T-2nd fewest in NFL).

But but but he was just a box safety

Maybe Jamal made the defense better than it actually was

The Seahawks allowed 450 passing yards last week.

Jets fans couldn’t wait to get rid of the one all pro player we had

He shot his way out of town.  I think its time to move on from the "Jets fans didn't want him" narrative.  He didn't want the Jets, especially when he found out they weren't going to hand him $18M+ per season.

It doesn’t look any of JD’s “bargain” free agent acquisitions are worth anything.   Just a bunch of borderline roster players.   So far he’s added Becton and what else?

I'd say Becton alone should give you reason for optimism, especially since it would have been easy to argue at the time he could/should have gone a different direction (Wirfs or a WR).

It's hard to complain about the rest of his first draft class until we see them play.

Wonder how Douglas feels seeing none of his rookies get any play.

Hopefully he's aching to get an interim coach in there to do his bidding.

Jim Bob Cooter, please!

tired of this guy getting handjobs by most of the board.  This team is a Greek tragedy.

Coming from the guy that still gives Macc handies, despite being 99 % of the reason why the roster is this bad (and Macc also wanted Gase over the other HC candidates), this means exactly 0.

I’d fine any player who celebrates getting a first down when you’re losing by three touchdowns.

Darnold is hot garbage. My confidence in him is at a number 2 right now.

Yep.  No one is asking him to win a game like this.  But we are asking him to be one of the top 5 or so players on the field just about every game, and give us reason for hope.  He just doesn't.

Oh that’s the solution to thinking we made a wrong draft choice. Gotcha.

Just because Darnold is not the guy doesn't mean Josh Allen is.

The right pick would have been Lamar Jackson.  Even if he blows his knee out today he will end up being the top QB from this class.

James Robinson keeping the Jaguars in it against the Titans.  103 total yards on 15 touches and a really nice TD run.  Very glad I started him over Melvin Gordon in the flex!

People actually guaranteed the Jets would win this game because Kittle was out.  Guaranteed it.  And bet money on it.

I don’t ever want to hear about Gregg Williams again.

There's a reason he averages about 2-3 years with a team and then is gone again.
