Adams is a beast

Recommended Posts

I've seen fans say Adams is just one dude, and wouldn't make a big difference. Maybe that's true.

They also say robby Anderson is just one dude. And maybe that's true too.

Sheldon Richardson is another dude. Demario Davis. Andre Roberts. Jason Myers. Leo. Kelechi osemele.

Take all the "just one dudes" who they traded or let walk, it would be a much better roster. And yes it would be a more competitive roster and a better less toxic culture

This is another major cop out

Player x wouldn't be player x if the Jets drafted him

It is absolute bs and it makes people feel like Sam could still be a good player.

The franchise does stink and it will take special players to change it.

Sam isn't special. Next man up.

Does anyone actually think mahomes would be mahomes if the jets drafted him?

I'm happy that Adams finally got to feel what's it's like to beat the patriots. And he did on national TV

The people in this thread taking about Edelman and coverage are tripping

The pats are run first this year and Jamal tfl won the game for Seattle at the end

"He" did it? LOL. You clearly didn't watch the game or read the thread.

Adams was 5 yards away from that final tackle on Cam Newton.

Seattle won because of Russell Wilson last night.  Stevie Wonder could see that.

watching this final drive again

around 40 seconds left the refs give a classic late game PI to Edelman

as for the last play

it's true, 33 wasn't close to it

another way to look at it,

1st and goal, 3 seconds left,

they ran away from Adams with the game on the line

when they ran near Adams he made the play

Jamal Adams did have a very good game last night.  Edelman was on fire, Cam Newton also had a great game

it's not the 50 factory reject dildoes on the roster that determine wins and losses it's the handful of difference makers

Revis used to be that guy, Adams was a difference maker for this team, whether anyone admits it or not

as for Russell Wilson, he also was a difference maker

but we Jets fans don't realize this but the league expects winning teams to score over 30

both teams got there so they each had a chance

the Jets never sniff 30 and the expectations build on the defense to the point where people are livid at Quinnen williams for no reason

I'm not feeling much of a difference tbqh.

And the facts/numbers bear that out:

--Thru 2 games in 2020, Maye has 2 sacks, 10 solo tackles, 7 assists, 2 TFL, 1 Forced Fumble, 2 Passes Defensed, 0 INT's

--Thru 2 games in 2020, Adams has 2 sacks, 14 solo tackles, 8 assists, 3 TFL, 0 Forced Fumbles, 0 Passes Defensed, 0 INT's.

--Thru 2 games in 2019, Adams had 0 Sacks, 10 solo tackles, 1 assist, 1 TFL, 0 Forced Fumbles, 1 Pass Defensed, 0 INT's.

Lets be clear, Maye in 2020 is out-producing 2019 Jamal Adams thru 2 games, and is on-par with the 2020 Jamal Adams thru 2 games.

Jamal Adams is not our biggest problem in 2020.

Our OFFENSE is.

Even if we accept these are these same player, more or less

one is 3 years younger and far more durable

Which is beyond the scope of what I wrote.

Safety does not move the needle.  They don't win games.  Adams didn't.  Maye, producing similarly, also does not.

TLDR:  We don't suck in 2020 because of trading Adams.

That, along with the "we let Anderson walk/didn't want him" memes are dishonest, and wrong.

If we accept "Suck" as a condition not Super Bowl bound, yeah ok

I still believe it's better to be mediocre than winless. You're further away from the goal than before

Adams is one player, Anderson is one player etc. All these "one players" add up to a real team
