How can any one team draft as bad as this team has over the last ten years? Virtually none of our picks have amounted to anything. Our roster is made up of over the hill or mediocre free agents who are just looking for a paycheck and practice squad scrubs. It’s actually astounding how poor our drafts have been over the years. It’s as if they tried to draft poorly.

Someone on another thread mentioned the issue that we, under the Johnson's ownership, have never had a quality NFL HC, it's always been a learning on the job type who hasn't assembled a quality coaching staff.  When was the last time this team had a real OC?  You can argue Chan Gailey - and he took the fall for a team that imploded when it should have been Bowles.  We did have Heimerdinger for a few years trying to make something out of Geno Smith without any NFL caliber WRs.   Before that you have to go all the way back to Dan Henning.   Drafting players is one thing - you can draft the greatest players on earth but if you do not coach them up - most of them will suck.
