That would say to everyone that the main reason the team sucks is because of darnold, obviously. It wouldn’t help though. The OL is injured and flacco would get hit too much. But if the wrs return that could help.
Popular Post More Cowbell
Then Gase should be fired before the game. What is the point of that?
ScarletKnight89
Which is why he needs to be fired.
section314
If they do decide to sit Sam, the only choice is either White or Morgan, whoever is more ready. Flacco should never see the field. 4

No way he puts Flacco out there. Frankly, I want the Jets to be thoroughly embarrassed and hosed on Thursday. I want Gase fired. I hope the entire team plays like sht, IOW as badly as they have in the first 3 games. Something like 31 -3 should do it. 3

jetlaw
Flaaco is coming back from a serious neck injury. To put him behind this offensive line wouldn’t be fair. Roll with Darnold one more game. Fire Gase. Let interim coach decide after that.Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
playtowinthegame
Darnold is gonna get Gase fired. Jets fan: Start Darnold another game. Gase on phone with Douglas: **** this kid sucks. I @GATA bench him and start Flacco. 1
FidelioJet
Eh, I’m not sure Gase cares anymore either. I think it’s likely he doesn’t. he has guaranteed money - I wouldn’t want to coach this crap he’s been given. He’ll take his money, take the rest of the year off and likely land an OC or College HC job....

He didn't want to coach a rebuild/tank. He bitched himself out of a job there. Is it possible he just doesn't want to do that here ?

That is classic running out the clock, accepting defeat behavior right there.
bealeb319
Pretty sure flacco will use the in still injured argument to not come in and throw the ball to berrios and whatever other garbage we field that day behind a depleted offensive line guarenteeing von miller and bradley chubb carreer days.Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using JetNation.com mobile app

It chips away at your aggressiveness slowly but surely. Before you know it you have no plays to get a first down when it's 4th and 7.

sec101row23
How very Jet like would it be to have a 35 year old QB handing it off to a 37 year old RB on a winless team. Therefore, I see this happening in two weeks.

I’m sure he be happy to climb into the lifeboat with the women and children. He always probably knows he needs to manage his money smart for the rest of his life. He’ll never work in the NFL at any level ever again Is my guess.

jgb
Flacco keeps his signed retirement papers in his back pocket. Try to put him in a game and see what happens. He's made over $70m. Only a buffoon would risk permanent spinal injury to play for this team.
