Bronxville Jets Fan
https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/10/04/talk-already-has-emerged-of-a-12-game-season/ Even though I could care less about losing 4 Jets games this season, I would imagine this would hurt their chances of getting the number one pick since there’s a greater chance that multiple teams (with tie breaker advantages) finish with a winless record. Am I thinking about this wrong?

Am I thinking about this wrong? Well if it screws the Jets, it will probably happen. Draft lottery here we come.

Am I thinking about this wrong? Good news is Vikings play Texans today, so one of them gets a win, and lets face it, both of those teams will win their share of games whether it is a 12 or 16 game season. Giants play the Rams, so they likely get to 0-4, but they play in the NFCE which sucks right now, so they are likely to steal a W or 2 along the way. Ditto for the Redskins & Eagles who already have a W and a T respectively. Bengals are at home to Jax, so they have a great shot a W today. Falcons are beginning to scare me a bit, they are way better than us on O, but the way they have lost games makes by think they are cursed (or charmed depenting on how you look at it). We just lost our most winnable game this past week. We are likely to be underdogs in just about every game the rest of the way. But we are the Jets, so we are bound to find a way to screw up the tank and pick 4th.
derp
There usually aren’t multiple winless teams twelve games into the season. Most of the other winless teams aren’t too bad either. I don’t think there’s a ton of competition unless the Jets start winning.

Could make a pretty strong case that Quinn is the only other coach in the NFL worse than Gase.

FidelioJet
If they go to a bubble they’ll almost certainly have to allow people to opt out again. I’m not sure the Jets will be able to field a team if they do.
