Well, it's official.

The New York Jets' next head coach:

Bill O' Brien

Guys he helped mentor Watson so this is a no brainer! He only lost because he didn't have weapons!

We're going to hear the above eventually.

I'd fire Gase and hire o'brien as interim in a heart beat. O'brien is an awful GM but he turned around Penn St and is definitely an upgrade over Gase.

Give him 12 games with Darnold. Can't be worse than Gase.

Hire Matt Campbell or Lincoln Riley. Lets get some real offense in here.

I'm fine with this. One less team that is losing games at a rate equal to us. This is like draining an abscess people. It's gonna be awful but long run you benefit. Idzik did the same thing dude just was awful at drafting. I THINK JD is a better, too early to say 100%. Becton has looked extremely good so far.

O'Brien is a real bad coach. Don't understand why the Texans gave him so much power. Totally ruined that franchise.

Let that be a cautionary tale to the Johnsons who let Gase run the GM out of town, under utilize a HOF RB and now lay claim to the whispering campaign that "something isn't quite right with their First round pick in Sam Darnold" whom Gase was supposed to help.

i am normally not for firing coaches in mid-season - but with Gase it should happen to show the team about accountability. Releasing a RB that was going to be cut whenever Bell returned isn't a statement.

Gase must go - or like us old guys used to say 'Joe Must Go!'.

If we fire him NOW it’s not mid season so you’re safe.

Just now, Sonny Werblin said:

The Band Aid has been pulled off. Now, the Johnsons don't have to worry about being made fun of because they fired their coach 4 games into the season. No one will even notice now if Gase is fired.

Exactly this, but I think they’ll wait for Dan Quinn to get fired tomorrow.
