He said the 2 prospective owners were Dolan and Woody Johnson and he "had issues with both".
TuscanyTile2
When BP and BB were talking about any issues between them during BB's resignation, the camera went out while BP was speaking. BB jumped on that, saying "Let's wrap this topic up. If it were meant to be, the camera wouldn't have gone out". Clearly, BB felt that there was an issue between them. We should give BP credit though for resigning when he got Robert Kraft's fax requesting permission to interview BB for HC of the NEP. (That kicked in a clause in BB's contract that he'd be HC of the NYJ).
TuscanyTile2
BB: "They want us to go in the Jets' locker room" (with spite while saying the word "Jets") BP: "I'm not going in there" The one thing they agreed on is spite for the Jets. jetophile
I'm gonna say something that people either jump on me for as delusional or go hmmmmmmmm. I never bought Fat Parcells "utter surprise and chagrin" over Belicheck's resignation. I will always stick by that.

All I can say from watching that part of the documentary again though is that there did seem to be something that they didn't want to talk about. So my guess is that there was some bad blood going on. I do think BP tried to do right by the Jets at the time (resigning when he realized the Pats were considering hiring BB). Possibly there was bad blood between BP and Kraft at the time too and that was part of the stress in the BP/BB relationship. In any case, we probably ended up letting a dynasty slip through our fingers. We would've had BB and Scott Pioli plus a solid core of players to build from (just like the Pats did). Only the Jets could have the GOAT be officially named HC of the NYJ twice without him coaching a single game here.

What I'm getting at is that I don't believe Fat Parcells was as in the dark about things as he put on and may have even gray area colluded. Greenbloodblitz
I've actually seen this a few times and it's one of my favorites. There are parts that are fascinating and parts that are almost charming? Parcells obviously has a huge ego and it was surprising to see Belichick actually still very respectful and looking up to him when they talk. As far as HC of the NYJ from what I know, both of these men found Leon Hess to be very endearing and genuine. The deals that they made were with him. When he passed away all bets were off. That being said we can get back to Parcells huge ego as he took over as GM with a new owner. By default that made Belichick the new head coach. I can't say I blame him for resigning and here is why. He was going to be basically what Jason Garrett was in Dallas which is a minion / stooge just there to serve the Upper Crust. Parcells definitely also had beef with Kraft and Belichick was in the middle. Listen we can all hate BB as Jets fans, but as far as I'm concerned it was a simple decision on his part. It was a hostile takeover with a new owner and the same guy you always worked for and although you got a promotion it wasn't real. There was definitely behind the scenes stuff we will never know the truth about but I think Belichick did what any of us would do and he went for the clean fresh start. Might I add that I am not as huge a fan of the tuna as a lot of other guys. The year Testaverde tore his Achilles the tuna had no answer, and no backup quarterback! We were supposed to go to the Super Bowl that year. To cover up that he screwed up, he resigned and made it all about himself. There's a little sleight of hand action going on there but he isn't fooling me. How does the head coach just bail and retire the year after we're supposed to go to the Super Bowl and our quarterback gets hurt the first game? f*** Bill Parcells! We were starting Tom Tupa at quarterback? Our f****** punter!? Go scratch your ass!
