It’s not happening until the bye, at the very earliest.

100%.....Doesn’t  matter anymore, Might as well keep Gase around it’s good comedy on this forum.

The team is lost, “injuries” pile up When guys don’t care, Sam is most likely done here as well.

Agreed. If we are winless at the bye, which we should, I think he gets fired then.

I think if we suffer through a winless first 10 games before the bye, all anyone will care about is the number 1 pick and then you will be worried about meaningless wins down the stretch. At that point, there is an argument for just keeping Gase for the rest of the year.

Why?

Is the goal to go 0-16/1-15 and land Lawrence or promote some dick like Gregg Williams/Joe Vitt who has no future here, squeak out a couple of meaningless wins and potentially be stuck in no mans land moving forward?

Make up your minds

I’ll gladly keep Gase around until early January if it means securing Lawrence and obtaining yet another Top 70 pick for Darnold.

Gladly

Trevor Lawrence + Brian Daboll/Greg Roman + $100 million in cap space + A metric sh*tload of picks over the next two seasons = Potential championship contention for the next 10+ years

That’s well worth dealing with Gase for another 90 days.

Plus an entire draft class that we won't see until next year from the looks of it. It's going to be like having 2 drafts next year.

Looks like the ownership is on board, the only thing that can cause this apple cart to tip over is the Johnson's bowing to public pressure, which they have shown they are liable to do. Admittedly, I'm surprised that CJ held off firing Gase, last Thursday seemed like a golden opportunity.

Yea, well I'd feel better if was any other team besides the Jets.

When has this team ever turned anything around.
