T0mShane
Interesting because Gase was alleged to run hard practices in Miami and he’s run a pretty soft camp here. I presumed that was just Gase changing up to soften his hardo image, but maybe it’s been the philosophy of the Jets training staff. Now, Gase sees that these dudes are injured anyway so he’s like “eff the analytics nerds.” 1 2

JoJoTownsell1
Great, this team doesn't have enough injured players so let's ignore #science and run the healthy players into the ground so Gase has more excuses for losing. 1

Bonus is that it pushes blame towards training staff in owners mind and away from scheme /coaching

You have to applaud the fact that he's not willing to stay the course with whatever training regimen is putting more players onto IR than onto the field. Parcells would have done the same thing. Beaver
Yeah look Gase sucks and we are going to crucify him no matter what he does. At least he is trying something different. If he didn't do this, we would kill him for not trying something different. And if the entire roster is garbage like everyone says, then what does it matter.

HawkeyeJet
First thing that comes to mind is a beautiful job by Gase hedging his bets there at the end. Second is, in my very amateur untrained medical opinion, Ihave wondered if the "softer" practices are actual a contributing factor of some of these nagging soft tissue injuries more so than 2 hours of the Oklahoma drill would be.
Stark
CJ... Fire this used car salesman... he is not a HC. STOP wasting everyones time. His offenses have ranked 21st, 24th, 25th, 31st and currently 32nd in offensive yards. Points they have ranked 23rd, 17th, 28th, 26th, and currently tied for last. Gase's offenses have been shut out 4 times in 5 years. And has never been in the top half in offensive yards or points across 5 years, 3 franchises and 4 QBs. 3

Beerfish
Sports science also says do not put your new franchise LT in the game if he is hurt or let your staring QB go back into the game with an injured shoulder.
