Gase is taking matters into his own hands.  You have to applaud the fact that he's not willing to stay the course with whatever training regimen is putting more players onto IR than onto the field.

Parcells would have done the same thing, it just wouldn't have taken Parcells two years to do it. He would have done it right away.

Fixed.

So, he decides now to "take matters into his own hands". What a great leader. What was he doing before?

probably should be phrased.....

Adam Gase was around Peyton, doubt he "coached" him at all.

So you're saying he sniffed his jock?  Probably a better description than "coached".

Really wish someone could make the Johnson brothers an offer they couldn't refuse.

Interesting because Gase was alleged to run hard practices in Miami and he’s run a pretty soft camp here. I presumed that was just Gase changing up to soften his hardo image, but maybe it’s been the philosophy of the Jets training staff. Now, Gase sees that these dudes are injured anyway so he’s like “eff the analytics nerds.”

There goes Trevor

Can’t say harder practices will improve this team or not. I don’t think it can hurt. Like parcells used to say “you play like you practice”.  These players ought to be really p.o.ed at the hole they’ve dug for themselves.  Want to blame ownership? Maybe they’re the ones behind the easy practices.

Last season, one thinks its just bad luck.

Offseason, to be cautious, he fires the head trainer.

Early this season, injuries are back, says enough's enough, taking matters into his own hands.

Quite logical.

You should work in PR.  Or maybe you do?

Or just a poor plan in the first place. Or just slow to tale action.

Where you see “taking charge” everyone else sees panicked desperation.

Maybe if he realizes that it’s permissible to make in-game adjustments, then We might be on to something.

Jets fans are babies.  Their definition of "objective" is "fire the head coach!"

It's not going to work this time.  The problem isn't coaching.

With no OL and no WR's its a wee bit hard to make "adjustments".

Oh, and you want an adustment?  How about what he did last year turning 1-7 into 6-2?  Let me guess.....your hero Gregg Williams gets credit for that, right?  Oh, wait, maybe Sam Darnold, Top #1 2018 franchise quarterback, right?

Gase is a good coach in a terrible situation.  Made worse by crybaby Jets fans who don't have anywhere near the spine they demand from their players.

If you want to ride Gase's cock, well enjoy the ride.  Criticizing Jets fans for this monstrosity of a team is not only illogical but utter insanity.
