Bell Set to Return; Jets Injury Updates

NY Jets Injury Report

Le’Veon Bell seems ready to return on Sunday when the Jets take on the Arizona Cardinals. Adam Gase gave this update on Bell today.

He looks good in practice. Honestly, it’s all about the roster adjustments at this point.

I think he can be pretty effective. He did a good job of, one, getting healthy and then staying in good shape. Did a good job making sure that he maintained where his weight was. It’s pretty easy, especially when you have a hamstring issue to where you can’t do what you’re normally used to doing, he did a great job as far as making sure he stayed right where he was at when he got hurt. I think he feels even better now than he did when we kind of hit that first game.

Injury updates, the following players did not practice today.

    • Mekhi Becton with the shoulder
    • Sam Darnold with the shoulder
    • Breshad Perriman with the ankle
    • Frank Gore with his normal Thursday off

The following players were limited in practice today.

  • Bless Austin with the calf
  • Jordan Jenkins with the shoulder and the calf
  • Ashtyn Davis with the groin
  • Chris Hogan with the ribs and knee

Here is the full injury report that the team released after practice today.

Here’s to hoping they finally win a game.  I don’t think people fully understand how thin this team is and how everything needs to be right for them to win. Consider the 2015 team versus the 2016 one. Roughly the same starters but when decker went out and the Marshall got dinged up they couldn’t win. And their record wasn’t just about the strength of schedule. So here we are 5 seasons later with even more key injuries and a concerning lack of depth and we are throwing blame all over the place.   Give a chance for these players to get back in.  Bell will help and so will Mims and Perriman when finally do get in.

Gase? At this point his main goal should be to not lose the team.

That list seems to only show the players who were not put on the IR list.

Anyone know what happens to guys who were put on the short term (3 week) IR list after the 3 weeks is up? If they are not ready to be moved back to the 53 can they be kept on IR week to week or do they need to go on another 3 week IR stint.

Mims. Zuniga. Clark. Hall. All MIA.

Beckton and Davis doubtful to play.

Perrine relegated behind 51 year old Frank Gore by our wonderful HC.

A backup QB and punter are our draft class in week 5. It’s not an indictment on JD but just another reality of this dumpster fire of a season.

Three weeks is the minimum.  They can be recalled anytime after that.  Once they come back to practice they have 21 days to move them back to the 53 man roster.
