What about Kubiak?

Gary Kubiak, now the OC for the Vikings.

He has won a SB as a head coach, he runs a proven offensive system that he learned from Shanahan, which relies on running the ball to help take pressure off of a young QB.

He would have his choice of either trying to save darnold or drafting a young QB, and he has been around the league long enough to build a competent staff around him.

Not hating but I really would honestly want to hear the thought process behind this

Have been paying attention the the job hes been doing in Seattle and its as good as Roman  Hes been really good.  Admittedly have no idea what his thinking in with regards to being a HC, if hes capable.  But his offense has not only been good but balanced.

Dabol is my top pick though.  Especially to develop a QB

A- Bieniemy will undoubtedly sign with the Texans.

B- He is the Dowell Logains of Kansas City.

@heymangold @carlito1171

I see you fine gentlemen disagree.

I challenge you, make your case for Bienemy without using the following...

-Playbook (Andy Reids playbook)

-Play Calling (Andy Reids until this season)

-Mahomes QB development (Andy Reids tutelage)

The one time Bienemy was a college OC responsible for the play calling, his teams blew nuts. He gets coffee for Reid and Mahomes while they gameplan, that's all.

I prefer a guy who doesn’t suck his whole career until paired with an MVP-caliber QB that was already balling before he arrived.

A. The brothers Johnson would never in a million years pay him what he'd need to leave Michigan

B. He'd want total control to come here, never a good idea.

C. He's one of the most overrated coaches in modern history.

Agree on A and half on B but damn it’d be nice to have a HC worthy of being overrated

I understand he hasn’t gotten a HC job, that reasoning is up for debate.  Name me a OC that has been successful with a bad qb?

I’m not saying I want him to be the next HC.  He’s been highly regarded by peers and players and has both play in and coached in Andy Reid’s system.  It’s worth looking into and Reid holds more gravitas in the coaching world as a reference than Peyton Manning.

his OC job was 7 years ago, for a perennially bad college football team.

Reid may very well hold the gravitas I agree, but this is no different than the 10 people under Belicheck that all rode his coat tails.

His name has come up the last 2 hiring cycles and he got passed on, even after they won the SB, that tells me that he is bombing the interviews.

I have no doubt he is getting exposed during the hiring process to a lot of GMs/Owners.
