This isn’t Gase’s fault, dummies. Bell never broke a single run or run after catch in his time here. Not to mention Gase advised against signing him. Maccagnan made a bad signing. Surprising, eh?

If he only had a good line to run behind.

If only they had weapons at WR and TE it would open up the run game.

I can only assume because the Jets will not be responsible for his salary for the remainder of his contract and there is no cap hit.

Nope. He had 8.5M in guaranteed salary due to him this year, all of which we have to pay him (on top of a roster bonus of 4.5M he already got) either way. We save less than 343,750 in per-game roster bonuses (5 games in, and the annual total was 500K; do the math) plus whatever prorated offsetting salary he gets from the team that signs him. Basically, we save maybe 1M in cap space and nothing on next year's cap (vs. just cutting him in the offseason)

Anderson was good here, he didnt have a good QB.

Tannehill is playing with a back like Jim Brown along with a great offensive line. Did you see Kenyan Drake run on Sunday? He may be slower than Bell.

Gase needs to go, but Leveon Bell is done done. Like completely done.

He is done done.....but we ran gore just as much and he’s done x 10

Gase will surely be gone at the end of the season. But Bell has sucked on the field since we signed him and he publicly disrespected the coaching staff on Twitter. Cutting him was the correct move. He should go and pursue his music career at this point because his days as a featured offensive weapon are over.

The two highest pai dplayers on the team- Mosely says "nah" and Bell gets cut. Shoot this franchise into the sun.

The problem with paying FAs major money is that these guys are selling out their chance to win for a huge payday, and they could care less what happens after that.
