LT, Shonn Green and Joe Mcknight were the running backs that year. Woodhead couldn’t play special teams so they released him. New England went on to pick him up and the rest is history

Everything he's talking about all came from the top down, from our buffoon of a coach at the time, Rex Ryan. Watch "Hard Knocks" and you can see Ryan saying he's a little guy with a big heart who will never make it because he's too small. This was despite the fact that Woodhead was outperforming every other offensive skill player in preseason.

The team certainly failed to use him to his abilities on offense, but in the end he got himself cut because he was a guy low on the depth chart that was horrifically awful on special teams.
