That's true but you've must have forgotten that Gase had the last GM fired. Gase also has the power to determine whether or not a player plays o\and how much playing time he will get. A coach can make or break a player's career if he's a bad coach or if he just doesn't like him. So even if the GM put a bunch of studs on this team, if Gase doen't like them or just want to be a prick, it wouldn't matter much because if the GM and coach aren't on the same page, the team will probably suck.
