pointman
Baker was benched in the end of today's game. Nursing a rib injury, but overall.. he's just super garbage and got replaced by Case Keenum when he was capable of playing. That Browns team (poop by definition) has talent and would be pretty good (for poop) if they had a better quarterback. Baker just sucks. Discuss.
Greenseed4
Makes me wonder how much better Sam would really be with better weapons. Maybe good decision making and execution isn’t just a function of one’s supporting cast. 3

He'd probably earn his 2nd contract, a monster deal.. only to be traded somewhere in the middle of it. Basically, prolonging the inevitable of whats to come this off season. slimjasi
Allena and Jackson could be the only two good QBs from that draft class. Who would have guessed that?

He was way raw and did not play in a prostyle offense at Wyoming.

yvj
I am all for drafting Lawrence if the opportunity presents itself, but I don't know how you watch these last two games and say definitively that we know who Sam Darnold is. We have 0 evidence of Darnold with even an average team around him 1 1

I think he had a decent chance to be "good enough" to help a well coached team win. The hype train behind his arm strength just got carried away.

varjet
This is very understandable. Bad teams pick QBs high. One of the reasons they are bad teams is that they can’t evaluate talent. Another reason is that they can’t build a team and develop a QB. The Bills got their act together with Allen. The Ravens are the Ravens. Allen is way more mobile, but in terms of arm strength and size. Bledsoe is similar. Also, Allen is erratic like Bledsoe. One pass will be money and the next pass into the concessions. ChuckkieB
The jury is still out on Darnold. He's still the 2nd youngest QB in the league and he has started 30 games under the worst possible circumstances imaginable to start a career. I think there's a franchise QB in there, and I hope he gets to prove that while on the Jets. 3

Not exactly a vote of confidence for a guy picked 3rd and an impending price tag of 25M per coming up. This team is, at best, 2-3 years from even being respectable to watch. Darnold has just not shown enough to continue investing in him. Had high hopes for him but I’m done and removed my lime colored contacts. I’m switching to tangerine colored ones.
