Rosen sucks. Sam sucks. Baker sucks too.

Recommended Posts

Baker is okay, and with a coach that he seems to finally have some synergy with, will have a good career as top 15 QB. With the right coach and roster, you can win with that.

Rosen will probably be out of the league soon.

Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen look good with their system/team.

Sam is the big question mark. He’s had 2 of the worst HC’s and OC’s in the league his first 3 seasons. He’s had bottom of the league offensive support. He’s looked great at times and awful at others. He certainly hasn’t done enough (fair or not) to not draft Trevor Lawrence.

But yes...this class is not ‘84.

Right now Darnold stinks. So with an average team around him he’d be below average and with a good team he’d be average. Not exactly a vote of confidence for a guy picked 3rd and an impending price tag of 25M per coming up. This team is, at best, 2-3 years from even being respectable to watch. Darnold has just not shown enough to continue investing in him. Had high hopes for him but I’m done and removed my lime colored contacts. I’m switching to tangerine colored ones.

I'm not saying him give him 25 million. But if it is/was too much of an "investment" to give him an NFL coach and starters at WRs, RB and OL I guess this franchise is in trouble.

Based on what is Baker "okay"? He is flawed and will never be much of anything.

Okay = average which is what he is and has been, a middle of the pack starter. That’s not bad, it’s just not a game-changer like Mahomes/Rogers.

He's bad. If you get benched for Case Keenum, you're bad. Baker doesn't read defenses well and cannot pass from the pocket. Those are two pretty big demerits for a QB.

Oh?

How did you like Drew Allen yesterday?

27 attempts - 14 completions = 51% completion rate. Horrid.

122 passing yards. Good luck besting Mahomes.

2 TDs and 1 INT.

Whos Drew Allen?

A far cry from the 84 draft class

Not sure if I'd say a "far cry" from the '84 draft class.  Steve Young was a HOFer but, other than that, Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen stack up just fine.  And I'm def not closing the book on Sam either.

Steve Young (HOF, SB MVP)

Boomer Esiason (SB appearance)

Jeff Hostetler (SB Winner)

Jay Schroeder (11 year career.  Had some high points with the Washington Football Team)

The books not written on Sam.  He has all the tools and talent, who knows if hes ruined and can put together the career people thought he would have.

Maybe.....

MAYBE  there is something to letting young  QB's sit for a year while they learn the NFL game.  It isn't like college.

It is also remarkable how the QB's that have been good are the ones that walk into situations where the team is already good and they don't have to put a team on their shoulders coming right out of college.

Its almost as if there is something to that....

That Browns team (poop by definition) has talent and would be pretty good (for poop) if they had a better quarterback.

What does this even mean?  Are they poop or do they have talent?

Make up your mind  LOL

Drew Bledsoe Allen

Allen is more mobile than Bledsoe for sure, but both are erratic passers. Allens passing numbers are way up since college, but we saw yesterday that he is still prone to a game where he fails to deliver. Just like Drew Bledsoe. I see Allen as one of those QBs that you just cant move on from because he is so close to taking the next step, but is doesnt happen. Diggs was suppose to get Allen over the hurdle.

Sam needs to read True Grit before he starts writing the next chapter.

Baker was benched in the end of today's game. Nursing a rib injury, but overall.. he's just super garbage and got replaced by Case Keenum when he was capable of playing. That Browns team (poop by definition) has talent and would be pretty good (for poop) if they had a better quarterback. Baker just sucks. Discuss.

Rosen is better than Sam and they both suck. Let gase start over.

Allena and Jackson could be the only two good QBs from that draft class.

Who would have guessed that?

Baker has been up and down.  He has demonstrated that he can be a good QB or a bad QB.  Need more time to see if he levels out one way or the other. Jackson has more holes in his game than a piece of Swiss cheese.  Allen needs to put together a full season of consistent play and show he can get it done in the playoffs when the game gets to another level.  Sam needs to play under a different HC to be evaluated.

Thus far, NONE of them have been proven either way.

Sam is better than those two and I still think he can be a good starter in the NFL if he changes his approach and plays more conservatively. He’s not Marino and he has always even in college stretched the envelope too often and not played smart football. He has to be reined in and not try to make plays that aren’t there. This season not all his fault the team is very weak in skill position players. He rarely has guys making plays for him.
