Rex redeaux

Recommended Posts

I don’t thinkI’ve been a supporter of Rex returning as coach, he ran a circus, but it does seem like he could motivate the players a lot better than most. Put him with a gm who has a real plan to build and maintain a team and maybe Rex would be better.  At the very least he’d distract the media and talking heads away from the team and let them around to the business of practicing and playing.  Is a Douglas -Rex pairing viable?

You Rex lovers do realize that he ran Buffalo into the ground after leaving here right? How’d they do after he left?

How did we do after he left? How are we doing?

Totally. But because we are sh*t doesn’t make him the answer. He proved twice that he is not a HC in this league. Great coordinator though.

I mean I'd take him over Gase so at least post game is fun. If we can't get a promising coach to show up, cause why would they? I'm not against it. Anything is better than this years level of unmatched misery

The thing with rex is, he's the best and most successful coach in our franchise history.

As was as that is he's the best we've ever had and while he should not come back, too many fans refuse to accept it

Being a Jets fans means pining over past dudes we rioted to have jettisoned once we experience the new horrors of his replacement.

Wasn't most successful, that was Weeb. But he was #2 for sure. You know, high time we just admit that Rex and the Jets deserve each other. The likelihood of Johnsholes doing better are basically nil.

Nah! Rex is a big fat kid who can't pronounce big words... and things like that.. and stuff. You know the thing of it is.. and those type of things?

Rex tried really hard and I'm sure many of us hold a special place in our heart for him for the first two years he was here. His fall was brutal and painful to watch. It was embarrassing.

I hung onto liking Gase as long as I could, cuz I thought the guy rubbed elbows with some pretty successful members of The Good Old Boys Club. More importantly he can actually hold an intelligent conversation. It's sad that the Stars just can't align for us Jets fans. Where do we go from here? smh...

Rex’s bad Jets were never as bad as 2020.

The 2020 Jets are on track to be the worst team in NFL history.

If the Johnsons wanted to sell seats, bringing Rex in now as an interim for 2020 would be a clear improvement.

But they are not.  We are tanking.

They were 8-8 because Greg Roman cobbled together a top 10 ranked offense with Tyrod Taylor at QB.

The defense was top 5 under Jim Schwartz in 2014 and well below average (# 24 in 2015, # 27 in 2016) under Rex Ryan.  He had elite pass-rushing DL dropping into coverage like it was still 2000.

Rex Ryan era was good times.

No one can deny this,

The NY Jets were contenders.

Absolutely not.  Joe Walton or Bill Parcells were the # 2 and 3 HC's in Jets history, in whichever order you want to put them.

Parcells has to be above Walton.

Never heard of a "Bill must go!" chant

It's like you Rex people went into a coma in early September of 2011 and woke up to Todd Bowles and Kacy Rodgers in September of 2015.

ZZZZZZ  Todd Bowles team never made the playoffs.

This has no bearing on anything related to Rex Ryan.

It most certainly does the last time I checked the playoffs is a goal for all teams and a Super Bowl victory is the ultimate goal.

What about Walt Michaels? He built the 80’s Jets and was a Shula Mud Bowl away from the Super Bowl.

Well of course. He’s a Jet. Why not run Buffalo into the ground?
