Popular Post prime21
So JD is on to something. Since our top picks never pan out, lets make trades for 6th and 7th round picks and maybe we will have get the ship righted that way. 1

mrcoops
Curious timing, with Luvu going onto the IR yesterday. Definitely opens up a spot for Zuniga to be elevated from the IR this week.

Popular Post Sonny Werblin
I applaud JD's efforts. He is not sitting back idly watching the team go to sh*t. No, he's building a team. Just what he said he would do. He's not sitting back with images of Trevor Lawrence dancing in his head. No. He is packaging guys who will not be on the team next year with 7th round picks to upgrade to a 6th round pick. For a GM that feels he can find talent in the later rounds it is significant to move up from the 7th to 6th round. He is not resting on his laurels. He is doing the hard work. Paying attention to details. And basically, doing whatever he can to make sure he can build a winning team. Bravo JD! This is what a real GM does. No magic elixirs. No quick fixes. No. You have to put in the work. 8 6

Bleedin Green
Ultimately, the pick is moving up less than one full round a year later (an early 7th likely becoming a late(r) 6th). That essentially is just the same as a draft day trade-down, and not even a particularly good one. They're really getting nothing in return for Willis. 3

Popular Post Sarge4Tide
Jets were going to have to cut either Willis or promising rookie UDFA Bryce Huff when Zuniga is activated. Getting something for Willis, who is a decent player, was a nice move 8

These moves (Willis, McLendon) are also trimming cap. It doesn’t seem like a lot, but it will start adding up. on edit: I don’t actually understand how much money has been saved by these moves.
