Given his age and injury concerns, I would be reluctant to pay him alot of money on a second contract. But if the Jets wanted to keep him, they have the bargaining power and cap room now. It will not be a great FA market next year. So I would offer him a 3 year/$20mm deal, $9mm guaranteed, at like 4/8/8. Something like that. Given him an incentive. But if he did not take something like that, there is no reason to keep him for the rest if the Jets can safe his salary and get any draft pick.
