FoxJet
Jets | Ferguson would play for team Thu, 23 Feb 2006 11:47:16 -0800 During his <A href="http://www.kffl.com/link/183">NFL Combine interview, Virginia OT D'Brickashaw Ferguson said returning home to play for the New York Jets is something he would be interested in. He claimed he has not talked with many teams at this point, but did not mention if the Jets were one of the teams he had talked with. :yahoo:
4HCrew
Anyone shocked? every rookie is going to say they want to play in NY...means money and marketing
Scott Dierking
Translation: The #4 pick in the draft contains wheelbarrows full of cash. That would interest me very much. #3 would be awesome too, but I can still live with #4.
124
That's good news for the few of us who love and want D'Brickshaw Ferguson to become the next draftee of the New York Jets. Now personally I wouldn't mind Cutler either but OLine comes before anything else IMO.
ThunderbirdJet
The Jets have already spoken to Ferguson, that happened before senior bowl week. That was one reason they did not spend time with him down there.... they've already talked. What is interesting is that he wieghed in at the combine today 15 pounds heavier than he was at the senior bowl.
spjets
i agree. without an O-LINE , the QB isnt worth chit... BaumerJet
I am in favor of THE BRICK at 4! I am too - if he's there at 4. However, just look at the Qb's on Free agency prior to the draft... Unrestricted FA: Charlie Batch -Steelers Jeff Blake -Bears Drew Brees -Chargers Todd Collins -Chiefs Ty Detmer -Falcons Jeff Garcia -Lions Tim Hasselbeck -NY Giants Shaun Hill -Vikings Damon Huard -Chiefs Kliff Kingsbury -NY Jets Jon Kitna -Bengals Jamie Martin -Rams Shane Matthews -Bills Josh McCown -Cardinals Craig Nall -Packers J.T. O'Sullivan -Vikings Tim Rattay -Buccaneers Sage Rosenfels -Dolphins Kordell Stewart -Ravens Chris Weinke -Panthers Anthony Wright -Ravens Restricted FA: Ken Dorsey -49ers Dave Ragone -Texans Chris Simms -Buccaneers Seneca Wallace -Seahawks As per ESPN.COM http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/fa?positionId=8&action=upsell&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fnfl%2ffa%3fpositionId%3d8 That's why I've been considering Vince Young since day one. If he's there at 4 - I say we should take Young. Especially since it looks like Chadworth is not going to be a JET much longer... Unless of course you want a bad season - then we're guaranteed Brady Quinn in '07!
124
Take D'Brick at 4. Draft Croyle in Round 3. Trade for Patrick Ramsey.
