Popular Post Jetsfan4life90
The people on that bandwagon, are they willing to pay Trevor Lawrence the amount he'd lose if he went back to college? Easy for them to say he should refuse to play when they have no financial stake in it.

He can come out, and still not end up here, if he really doesn't want to play here.

Thai Jet
Dion is just another loud mouth POS from NFL.com. like Michael Irvin. If TL has any sense he'd do just the exact opposite of what ever Dion suggests. 3

He risks injury and potential financial ruin if he returns to Clemson for yet another year and gets hurt. Not much more for him to prove at the college level.
Patriot Killa
Trevor Lawrence will be a New York Jet. I don’t care what media outlets say in late October. This will be a thing of the past in April. 3 1
Popular Post Guilhermezmc
Thats stupid af, New York is the biggest market in the world, a team that will have a brand new coach, a stud at LT, and plenty of money to give him weapons. Im sure he will pass on that to play for the Jacksonville Jaguars 4 1 2

Thankfully FA comes first so maybe we can buy some real pieces and flip the narrative upside down. When Trevor sounds iffy on questions about NYJ (because if we have the first pick, those kinds of question are coming full speed during combine season) then I’ll worry. until then I try not to put too much stock in what talking heads say in October. We’ll see when we get there. These things are very rare no matter the prospect or team picking. I just don’t see it.

We’ve been historically bad, and it’s not just because of a few injuries. Ownership and management has been a complete circus. It’s not going to be a given that people wont take a guarded approach to managing their careers. It’s the media now, but it’ll be agents later. This isn’t normal/annual stuff, this speaks volumes about how bad we’ve been. they need to start doing something about it now. As others in the industry have said, deals get done at the combine including who plans to take who. Waiting that late maybe too late

They are looking for one last money grab before retiring: 2. They have no other options; 3. They are total money pigs—of which there are few in NFL. Jets will destroy your next contract value. Robbie looks like best WR in the NFL and he got a prove it deal from his former college coach. 1
Popular Post Paradis
In my opinion the first thing the Jets have to do, is make a signature move that demonstrates some confidence and a vision. To me that means giving Adam his walking papers, regardless how you feel about it, and announce Joe Douglas is the GM with complete control. Get rid of this division of power nonsense. For obvious reasons Adam has to go, but just as importantly Joe needs to be recognized as the sole leader. Can’t do that with Adam still here After that Joe is going to have to make a slam dunk head-coaching hire. One that instils a ton of optimism and personality. A true program builder and head coach. Not some coordinator guru 6

Mogglez
Not surprised that guy like Deion Sanders, who did absolutely everything he could physically do to avoid and run from any adversity during his career, would advocate for another player to do the same.

Deion took the lazy and easy way out his entire career and he, seemingly, has kept that same energy after all these years. With hot takes like these, it’s no surprise that the NFL Network dumped his ass, forcing him to work at Barstool Sports for 2 cases of beer a week. Trevor doesn’t strike me as someone afraid of adversity or turning a franchise around. Quite frankly, if that IS the case, and he is that afraid of going to a bad team? Just turn around and take Justin Fields. If Fields continues to play like he did on Saturday, the discussion of who is the better QB prospect will be far louder, and I was firmly on the “Trevor Lawrence or no one else” bandwagon a couple of weeks ago. 3 2 2
Popular Post JetFreak89
Again, Elway had leverage because not only was he drafted into the MLB but he was drafted by the Yankees. There was a very real chance that he could have chosen to go that route. Eli didn't want to play for the Chargers because back then there was no rookie pay scale and picks had to negotiate with the teams to come to terms on their first contracts. The Chargers owners were notorious for not wanting to pay market rate and the Manning's felt they couldn't get the deal that Eli was worth. It had nothing to do with the play of the team or the other players, it was strictly money motivated. Their fears played out because Rivers had to hold out for more than half of camp in order to get a deal signed. That's why Brees started the season. So bottom line is that the BIG 2 examples that people like to recall in the last 40 years have situations that don't exist currently. Last I checked Lawrence wasn't drafted by the Yankees, and with the Rookie pay scale, Trevor doesn't have to worry about getting paid. There is a reason that these things haven't happened since Eli, step off the ledge people. 7 1
