Odell Beckham's season is over.

The Cleveland Browns star receiver suffered a torn ACL in Sunday's win over the Cincinnati Bengals, ending his 2020 campaign after seven games, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport and NFL Network's Kim Jones reported.

Josina Anderson first reported the news. The team later confirmed the diagnosis.

It's another frustrating ending to a season for Beckham, who posted 23 catches for 319 yards and three TDs this year.

Beckham's injury came on the Browns' second play from scrimmage Sunday against the Bengals. Baker Mayfield's pass to OBJ was underthrown and intercepted. Beckham chased down Darius Phillips after the INT and suffered the season-ending injury trying to make a tackle.

"Incredibly disappointed for him,'' Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters Monday, per Cleveland.com. "I know injuries are part of this game, but hate to see that. Obviously, very disappointed for him."

Stefanski added that one of the difficulties will be duplicating the energy Beckham brings to practice and games.

"No one else is going to be able to bring that type of juice," he said. "But it's our job to find the guys that can go compete and we'll put them in spots where they can succeed and think we'll be able to do that."

"It's not easy. I don't want to have to do it and I'm very disappointed for Odell but that's the nature of this beast. Injuries are part of this thing and that doesn't mean any of us have to like it, but we do have to deal with it."

It's the latest setback to waylay the talented receiver's career. In five seasons in New York, Beckham played 16 games just once. He fought through injury to play all last season, his first in Cleveland, albeit not at 100 percent.

The injury prematurely ends what has been a frustrating last few campaigns for Beckham, who hasn't made a Pro Bowl since 2016.

There have been rumblings about Beckham's future in Cleveland with no guaranteed money on his contract after this year if he were to stay healthy. The ACL tear, however, might keep him in Cleveland in 2021. As NFL Network's Mike Garafolo noted, the injury guarantee means the Browns likely can't cut OBJ, given that he wouldn't pass a physical before the third day of the new league year. A trade would be possible, but the acquiring team would be taking on a player coming off major knee surgery with a hefty price tag.

Most overrated Player in league. Browns wiki be fine and maybe better without him.

He is like Shockey was to Eli. Baker will be better without trying to force the ball to OBJ and keeping him happy,

Odell Beckham Jr.’s seemingly uncertain future with the Cleveland Browns has been the source of significant trade rumors for some time.

Despite being with the Browns for only one season, the belief is that the team would be amenable to moving him if the right offer came along. Not only that, there have been whispers that Beckham may be intrigued by making yet another career move.

Adding fuel to the trade-rumor fire is a report from Kristian Dyer of Sports Illustrated. According to an NFL source, Beckham would view the Jets as an ideal landing spot should the Browns decide to trade him. The source added that while Beckham is not actively petitioning for a trade, a return to New York would be welcomed by the enigmatic wide receiver.

These latest rumors come amid the backdrop of a complete organizational overhaul by the Browns, with Kevin Stefanski replacing Freddie Kitchens at head coach and Andrew Berry filling the GM role available due to the departure of John Dorsey.

The Browns appear inclined to trying to make things work with Beckham, as both Stefanski and Berry both expressed as much during their brief time with the organization. Having said that, it wouldn’t be surprising if both newcomers would at least be receptive to trading a player they had no role in acquiring.

Beckham is coming off a disappointing debut season with the Browns, during which he failed to match the productivity that was common during his tenure with the Giants. While some of the lackluster campaign can be attributable to a sports hernia injury that required offseason surgery, Beckham never seemed to get on the same page with Baker Mayfield.

What’s more, there were times in 2019 that Beckham appeared to be campaigning for a way out of Cleveland amid the team’s underwhelming season.

While a change of scenery could appear attractive to Beckham in that respect, constantly jumping from team to team doesn’t help the wide receiver when it comes to getting acclimated with where he’s at, not to mention who he’s playing with

I never understand the hate for this guy.  He has been a great player and though a bit weird and misguided (LSU cash thing), he is not a druggy or wife beater or a bad team mate overall and he wants to win.
