This makes zero sense unless he’s a headache in the locker room and they don’t want him to be a part of the fresh start for the new coach.

Or he surprisingly gets a massive return but I think that’s less trying and more open to moving.

Does open the door for Mehta to hammer them either way though. Shouldn’t have traded him or they couldn’t even manage to trade him - and that second article only happens if there are heavy rumors.

If it is true, then it doesn't make much sense as the article states the jets don't even need a first round pick.  The guys is young, imprpoving and you just took him last year.  He is not worth the #3 pick overall, but he is an improving young player so why not make him part of the rebuild? And I am not even a big Quinnen fan, but I don't trade him unless you get blown over by an offer (a #2 and #5 is not good enough).

It's almost as though Manish would report something about the Jets he knows would not be well received.

From a stand point of trading QW, I just don't get it for lots of reasons, unless you think you can get a 1st rounder next year.  1.  He's played pretty damn well this year.  2.  You don't know who the coach or defensive coach will be next year and QW easily could be a very strong piece to a new HC/DC

Nothing would surprise me but my initial reaction to this is that Douglas is leaking false information. He runs a tight ship, information doesn't get out unless it's a player publicly airing their grievances. 

Unless Mehta get word from another organization that the Jets called them I'm guessing this is BS. Quinnen hasn't set the world on fire but what's his trade value right now? A 3rd? I don't see the point in selling low on a cheap young player.
