Jets trying to trade Quinnen Williams as trade deadline looms(Disclaimer* it’s a Manish report)

Recommended Posts

Connor Hughes now saying that the Jets are not shopping him.  That means it is now 3 credentialed reporters saying “no”, and Captain Manish of the S.S. “Sh*t Stirrer”, who had his credentials revoked by the NFL for making things up, saying “yes”.

The Colts love Nelson that ain’t happening

QW for a first is realistic tho

I was alluding to an Ohio State guard that is being comp’d to Nelson.

Wyatt Davis, destroyer of worlds.

(He may be available around the Raiders slotting)

they will not want to play for Joe D and the jets

Joe D did not want to pay robby or adams and he will not want to pay for any high end free agents. He will try to "build through draft" but nothing he has done shows me he can do that-adding 2 players a year while losing 4-5 of your best players is not a recipe to suceed

Sounds like Mike Maccagnan was your dream GM.

and what do you think Trevors (or other Free agents) are going to feel about his lying?

Well, Trevor isn't a free agent so he'll go where he is drafted but in your scenario Joe D. will say that he didn't draft Sam Darnold but was hired to bring order to a team in disarray. He did his best to support Sam by drafting a franchise LT, a top rated WR, a (hopefully solid) guard and getting the best Center available in FA but it just didn't work out. He would then say that since Trevor is his "guy" he is going to continue investing our high draft picks on offense as well as picking up add'l FA in the offseason.

Other Free Agents couldn't care less what JD said to Sam's parents. They care about 1) Money 2) Winning. JD has plenty of #1 for the right player and once we get Trevor and a new HC in here we should have plenty of #2 as well.

If the Jets get a good offer, pull the trigger.

Williams is playing better this season, but by no means is he playing at an untradeable level.  He's an interior lineman whose primary role is to fill gaps and push the pocket.  This role can be adequately filled by late round picks and undrafted free agents (i.e. Fatukasi, Franklin-Myers, Harrison, Devito, etc.).  If you can get a first round pick and use it to draft a more impactful position, go for it.

ok this is just pure nuts. The dude is starting to play well. why???????

Because unless you're mekhi becton, you should be on the block..... for the right price.

The dolphins gave away really good young players last year when they were tanking. Minkah and tunsil.. Don't think they regret it.

A trader would find his situation ideal: performance improving to a point where his potential may match his promise. There’s always the risk his max potential is limited to his current performance- reducing his value.

Like him or not Joe Douglas is a cold Mothereffer....and that is exactly what you should want in a GM. I don't care about player's feelings or charisma or anything like that, if I can get a good price for you, you're gone.

This man looked Sam's parents in the eyes and said he was going to get an offensive line to protect him and weapons to help him perform better and then decided to tear the whole team apart to get the most coveted QB prospect in the last 5-10 years. That is badass.

If Gase is retained it is all for naught.

I have no problem, shopping Fat Albert.  Defense is an after thought in today's NFL.  We need scoring and to fill the defense with 2nd tier defenders who can give maybe 21 to 24 pts a game.  Its a shame defense has been handcuffed by penalties and safety BS.

We are an 0-7 team and it is a week from the trade deadline.  There are going to be plenty of rumors, JD will likely be answering a lot of calls for any players who can help out a contender.  Not going to pay much attention to these rumors, expecially if they come from Manish.

Did it for 30 years. Simple rule.....easier to sell when price going up.

So let's all agree to this:

If you start a thread with some "news" report AND it's connected to Manish, how about putting that in the title first so we can all ignore it?

News and Manish in the same sentence doesn't make sense . Should be more like tabloids and Manish now you got something there :)

Until he does this to players he brought in or drafted himself, it's no different than the behaviour of every other sh*tty GM we have had. Pure ego wanting to unload previous regimes picks to have "his guys."

Pretty gross that Cromartie trashes the Jets as much as he does considering the Jets fronted him millions in cash to pay off  his baby mamas, then circled back years later and gave him another $7 mil to come in a be a complete dog at the end of his career

Just more proof that you don't stop being stupid and a scumbag as you get older and supposedly more mature.
