He has 9 games left on his contract, the Jets are 0-7, he's barely played here, and he's never been good anyway. I wouldn't make anything out of the $600K in cap savings since it's not real; they'll be replacing his roster spot with someone else anyway. I'm looking at it as Joe Douglas showing mercy to vets and letting them leave. He's got a long rebuild ahead of him after the last 20 years of sh*t.
