If the whole team is a bust, how can you judge who is and is not?  If a diamond was lodged in a big pile of sh*t...you would just throw it away?

If that Diamond was outplayed by Joe Flacco on that "bust" team, I would definitely consider it.

If the diamond is probably just a turd you’ve lied to yourself about then yes.

Deshaun Watson was on a bad team last year but he was excellent. The same is true for Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert, and Baker Mayfield his rookie year.

Only one of those teams mentioned didn't fire their HC by the end of the season, all of them were losing teams, and two were fresh off a 0-16, and 1-15 season which are worse than the Jets this year. Ironically the 1-15 team got their only win against Darnold.

Me in 2017: Sam Darnold is a real issue and is at most a project QB

You, Today: Turditude

So they must really suck with all the talent around them...of course the coach gets fired, they had the talents..we didn't  and don't

Look up the stats for those games

Win is a win.  But to entertain your one sided logic, Sam's stats are equal or better than J. Allen who won this week.  So dink and dunk Allen didn't  win this week?  His stats are worse than darnold's two wins vs. Playoff teams? Additionally, his long balls are worse than Sam, he was missing wide open recievers beyond ten yards regularly.  His third reciever, Cole Beasley could be as good as our #1.  In the most team oriented sport, you are judging how Sam sucks without having NFL caliber players around him is stupid and rash.

Minus Rodgers (who is arguably one of the top three greatest QBs of all time) All the play off QBs look as good or bad as Darnold...Did you see Brees?  Jackson?  How are their stats? SAM DID it with off the streets players starting for the Jets and the Worst Coach in the history of sports since the Washington Generals.

Wins are not a QB stat. Fun fact: Josh Allen’s bad playoff game it would be Sam 3rd highest yardage total of the season. And even more fun: if you took Josh Allen’s cumulative stats in the playoff they would be about a quarter of Darnold’s yardage total for the season and a third of his total TDs for the season.

2. New York Jets: QB Justin Fields, Ohio State.

The prospect of the Jets sticking with Sam Darnold and either picking Penei Sewell here or trading back for more draft picks shouldn’t be ruled out. Nor should the possibility that they use their treasure trove of assets to go and get Deshaun Watson. But for now, picking a quarterback here makes sense, and Fields looks like the better prospect than BYU’s Zach Wilson, even if it’s close.

Absolutely shocked after the HC hires he’s not mocked to ATL everywhere until draftday.

top 4 looking like a locked in

Law

Wilson (Jets or team that moves up for him)

Sewell

Fields

I’ll still be rooting for fields but man that lil hitch in his motion would have bothered me forever. Hopefully he improves it while learning under Ryan in year 1
