YJF
This team is going to get younger in a hurry. The Jets have 9 draft picks this april. They could add more through compensatory selections and and or trades. I suspect that they will have atleast 12 draft picks come April. That means atleast 12 new rookies not counting undrafted players will join the team in 2006. With Wayne Chrebet and Vinny Testaverde retiring and with the releases that took place this week thus far. These are the remaining players on The Jets roster that are 30 years old or over. Curtis Martin-32 James Dearth-30 Ben Graham-32 Kevin Mawae-36 Pete Kendall-32 Two or three of these players could be gone. Mawae, Kendall and Dearth could be let go. I'd be surprised if Dearth makes the squad, but they may want to wait on that cut, until they can see Dreessen do more long snapping. I have to think that once (if) Abraham leaves, this FO gets an FA O lineman or two, maybe a NT. Only Graham and Martin are safe. Chad, if he stays truns 30 before the season starts I believe. I didn't realize this...pretty cool considering the age is at decent positions: Curtis - Backup RB (hopefully) Dearth - He can long snap until he is 60 Graham - He will punt forever The thing is they have to bring in the right "youth". We have seen what untalented youngsters can do. Now let's try for the real deal.

PatsFanTX
and CHAD will be 30 pretty soon too! Too bad he has the arm of a 5-year old.
4HCrew
Imagine if there was a veteran staff leading them...sorry had to throw that in there... it is good to be young but better to be talented. Maxman Curtis a backup rb? did I miss something? you can put Larry Johson back there but with a lousy offensive line/blocking scheme they will all stink it up

I am just saying you might as well get a young RB some work next season.
JetsFanNick
I think we trade mawae and see what we can get, if we can sign him if he's a free agent..
