The ex-Jets roster. Don't look! It's pretty good......

Offense:

Bridgewater playing well in Carolina.

Kelvin Beachum starting for Cardinals.

Brian Winters starting for Bills.

James Carpenter starting for Falcons.

Brandon Shell starting for Seahawks.

Osemele was starting for Chiefs.

Bell in Kansas City.

Robby Anderson.  Brutal.

Defense:

Leo Williams with the Giants.

McClendon to the Bucs.

Demario Davis is an All-Pro with the Saints.

Adams in Seattle.

Specialists:

Andre Roberts in Buffalo.

Jason Myers in Seattle.

These players can all succeed elsewhere.  This organization, ownership, coaching, medical staff... it all just sucks.  Pathetic and embarrassing....

Please feel free to add if I missed a few.

I don’t know. There’s only about 8 of those guys who would actually be starting here right now.

All those guys may be starting but (aside from Anderson, Demario, Adams, Roberts and Myers) they are the weak links in their units. It's easy to hide 1 bad offensive linemen in a group of 5 but if you string 3-4 together, well you get our OL from last year.

Best player on the list.

Miss his style of play here on the D.

The best part of this one is that we traded Pryor to bring Demario Davis back to the Jets. He goes on to have a very good season and then we let him walk.  It made absolutely zero sense. Especially as we went out and paid A Williamson to come here as a FA the same offseason IIRC.

Good stuff :)

Let's not forget that most of the players named are all World professional athletes. That being said I will make a few analogies.

In boxing for instance they say Styles make Fights. However boxing is a solo performance sport.

Football is a team sport, and it takes a lot of people being on the same page for things to clique.

Ozzy is a great singer and Jimmy Page is a great guitar player. But I just can't see Ozzy and Page working together. You see what I'm saying? Ozzy singing The Immigrant Song? No I don't think so.

For way too long this organization has had 4-3 players playing in 3-4 defensive alignment. Our rollout play action quarterback is being forced to sit in the pocket? we don't have the skill-position players needed for a West Coast offense yet we insist LOL!?

Let's get Steve Vai, Miles Davis and Sylvester Stallone on lead vocals and make a country album? Might as well-

 Are you feeling me?

Jets don't like to pay for performance. We even see it here -- as soon as a player starts to emerge, that's when the hand-wringing about salary cap starts. Seriously? We're the crappiest team in the league with dog sheet talent -- and we're worried about salary cap? Until you have a franchise QB off his rookie contract there isn't an excuse to have salary cap issues, anyway.

If you don’t resign Robby you double or triple down at WR in the draft.  I like Mims a lot but he wasn’t enough by himself

Trading Adams for two firsts was a good move.  Dude is overrated as hell

Add ALL of these players together and put them back on the Jets. Is the functioning sum a WINNING team? Are they being thought of as SB contenders?

My answer says NO. Not even close. It's all mostly linemen anyway and that entire group of OL were flat out atrocious in NY just last season.

Now, the coaching, I will freely admit is an issue. Everyone knows change is required to change this very dysfunctional atmosphere in the building. But honestly, the collective sum on this team this year? Equals maybe one or two wins? And what does that mean? Another draft where the Jets have a top ten pick but not bad enough to get the first overall.

@Jetsfan80 has said it's not a question of Jets not paying, it's that they pay the wrong guys like Enunwa -- that one really hurts because had we offered that same money (4yrs/$36M) to Robby at the end of 2018 he'd be a Jet through 2022.

That inexcusably bad signing aside, I still believe this team has a penny wise/pound foolish approach -- it seems historically when a guy emerges we compare his new market rate to his old salary and think "wow that's expensive." This is the wrong approach -- the correct measure of value is what would it cost to replace that level of production. Too often we let guys go and then burn a premium draft pick to replace him with pretty much the same guy (Leo v. Q) or go into FA and get a guy for 75% of the cost who is <50% the player we lost (Perriman v. Robby).

JD offered Robby $40 mil which was more than what Enunwa got.  Negotiations fell apart plus Robby has a better relationship with Rhule than Gase

My point is we should've the offered the 4/36 to Robby end 2018 instead of Enunwa. 99.9% he would've accepted it then. Might've even accepted less.

Beachum and Carpenter are outplaying Fant and Van Roten

Winters was utter trash here

Murray moves like a jitterbug which helps the below average Beachum. Same with Shell in Seattle with Wilson. Sams a statue compared to those two.

Worthless post. You have no idea how each of those offensive linemen are playing other than they’re “starting.” Big deal. They started for the Jets, too.

The jets replaced them with supposedly better players, and now are 0-8.  Are any of those other players 0-8?

The two that stand out for me are Demario Davis and Teddy Bridgewater.  Never understood why we let both of these guys go.  Okay, I did understand that our GMs were incompetent clowns incapable of informed decision making.

We were paying Bridgewater nothing to see if he could still play at a high level.  But instead, decided to just let him walk.  Right now, in a fair head to head competition based on QB ability, Darnold never sees the field if Bridgewater is still on the team.  Plus, even if they just want to play Darnold no matter what, you still had Teddy as a great backup capable of actually winning some games.  Instead, we had Fales in that role.  Awful decision.
