I was posting in the game thread last night how he didn't look right before he came out. Made the mistake of saying "he didn't look into it" because he wasn't finishing his blocks. @Mogglez called me out for it citing he has been playing injured. He was right - something was physically wrong with him.

Either Denzel Mims or Quinnen Williams is the 2nd most important player, depending on your perspective of whether a WR1 or pass-rushing DT is more important in 2020. After that it gets a little hazy. I'd actually put Mosley # 4, because we know what kind of upside he can bring to the table if he still cares about football and goes all-in. And we're stuck with him regardless because of financials, so you might as well build around him on D in 2021. But then again he's only played in 3 Quarters of football since 2018, and his presence also prevents us from switching fully to a 4-3. So who knows. I think Measley is a #2. Needs flushed out of here ASAP.
TheClashFan
Seriously, we really need to him to stay healthy the rest of the way. He's been so good. I'd like the Jets to grab a C with either the Seattle pick or the early 2nd, but they might also/instead take another OT to play RT but with the ability to slide to LT if needed. They need reps. Becton has barely played this year...and the two instances of him tapping out are pretty alarming. This is going to become a major problem and you can already feel the organization is frustrated with this kid.

No one said anything about sitting Becton because the team stinks, knock yourself out with your version of what I wrote. What's the point in playing Becton if he is clearly compromised? Every NFL player plays through injuries but what Becton has appears to be not something you can play through effectively. Clearly he has been injured for over a month and he is not managing to play through it effectively. He is having trouble breathing, kind of an essential thing for football and living. If we were in a playoff race, yes maybe it's worth enduring. The reason that many have called to have him sit is the hope that he might heal fully and not do any long term damage to his health and to his future football career. 1
