BettyBoop
...and pick third the entire offseason calculus changes. Darnold will likely have another year to prove himself, albeit, with a much better team around him. With the third pick Douglas likely fortifies the OL by picking Penei Sewell, OT and moves Becton to RT. If he can sign Thuney the OL becomes a strength. Douglas will sign one of the outstanding WR FA and re-sign Crowder. The other big ticket free agents will be a CB and OLB. Judon and Dupree will be priorities. With pick 1b he hopes Kyle Pitts is still there and further improves the cast around Darnold. If not, a stud RB will be in the mix. The Friday between rounds one and two/three, Douglas will field many calls for pick 33 and I expect him to trade out for at least an extra third and still get a CB of his liking. With three picks in round three Douglas focuses on the defense and takes an OLB, S and ILB. The first questions all coaching candidates will be asked is if they think Darnold can be salvaged. I think it will come down to a guy like Harbaugh and a young QB whisperer like Joe Brady or Arthur Smith. This could generate a lot of excitement around Floram Park and SORE I will proclain the Jets are Super Bowl favorites
