1. Obvious QB pick

2. Most promising Edge rusher in draft - pair him with Lawson

3.  Plug and play RG Wyatt Davis, big time Mauler that is agile and good in space - fits our scheme that requires athleticism, speed and agility on the line.

4. made a trade with the 3rd rounder 2nd pick - didn't trade back too far, and was able to get a 2023 2nd... they wouldn't give me a 2022 3rd so I tried to a 2023 2nd with it and no other picks... it worked. Drafted RB who fits our new scheme, fast stop-go RB who can make sharp cuts, great pass catcher, 6.6 yds a rush.

5. RT Spence Brown, eventual starter... let him sit/play in spots for a year and then start - looks promising.

6. CB Trill Williams - Yonkers guy +, gets comparison to James Bradberry, high football IQ, physical, versatile man/zone guy, best either at wide corner or safety. If a team is looking for a Swiss Army knife to play the matchups with in the secondary, Williams can be that guy.

7. TE Tommy Tremble - we need to replace our TEs, I started with this guy, solid route running, can play FB like lead blocker. Can line him up in the lot.

8. Didn't like anything traded back for 2 picks and took best player available in Bobby Brown III - projected 1 technique.

9. EDGE Patrick Jones II - subpackage rush guy. very solid pass rushing skills.

10. TE Kenny Yeboah - gets comparisons to Chris Herndon, without the off field bs.

sh*ts nice man. This is a good spread the wealth doe the good of the team draft. I’d be more inclined to pig out on OL and WR.

But you have great value throughout. Smart, prudent, and more realistic approach.

Cheers

I did 2 different ones, one where I traded down a few times for future picks and one where i made 0 trades.  Both are really nice in my opinion.

Without Trades:

Sign me up for either. I just hope the players you took are available at those spots.

I think the one where I traded down is more realistic of where players are going, and I tried to be realistic with draft targets I've heard in connection with the jets.

For instance... In the trade down one.. Terrance marshall was on the board at 34 (I love marshall) but 1. I'm not sure he'll actually be there and 2. If he isnt I see us trading down and targeting moore.  So when I was offered a very nice trade by TENN for two future picks (2nd and a 3rd) I thought it was worth the chance to move down.  I actually believe I may have traded down twice in the 2nd i dont remember lol.

I also over drafted Tremble based off of reports we love the kid and things i had heard myself.  I dont think he woudl have lasted to the later of the 3rd round picks so I sacrificed some very good CB, LB, and some decent OL depth to take him there.

Basically my strategy and thinking going in was to take positions of need which is basically everything but focus on building around wilson as much as possible and taking defensive players when the value made sense.  I know people will be critical of me not "fixing" the OL in one draft, and I can see us taking 2 OL for sure, the value just never made sense in the middle rounds.. OT/OG went very quickly.  But I think Jenkins helps right away at RG, we have a battle at LG, mcgovern will be a fine center and Fant will only be better (he was better than people think). So while still needs, they will have a lot of money, and draft resources to add again to it next year.  I feel i filled as many holes as I could but didnt lose out on value to force a fill.

In terms of players being in those spots: I think most of the picks have a chance of being in that area.. with the exception of Marshall who I think can sneak up into the 1st (although everyone has my other guy Elijah Moore as making that jump now) and Elerson Smith I think goes higher than I got him in both drafts.

Me too. I see so many mocks with Egge and CB after Wilson and we would just be repeating the mistake we made last time
