If it's Gase, he didn't do it without running it past his boss. Which makes it worse. 

Either way, it's clear ownership doesn't understand that ALL calls, even the ones the DC makes, are owned by the Head Coach. Williams is fired over one bad call? But Gase can amke 100 of them and take no ownership of any of what happens?

Yesterday was the final straw but I think GW was on thin ice ever since he made those comments regarding the offense being at fault for losing. This was his 2nd or 3rd strike.

This is hilarious. We didn't  hire Rhule because we CJ insisted on Williams so now we still have Gase and fire GW.

Exactly. It's incredible how nothing is ever Gase's fault. You can't be an assistant manager at McDonald's without ever taking accountability. He is like that rotten apple that through some crazy errors, misjudgments, randomness made it into a fruit basket in Buckingham Palace.

If the Jets wanted to tank, they had ample opportunities to lay down before then. People desperately want there to be some sort of conspiracy when the truth is the Jets are just a historically bad team with awful coaching. I guess that's too hard for some people to reconcile.
