The Dumbest F'In Take on Lawrence and the Jets so far

I've literally lived all over the country over the last 30 years, From LA to Boston, and places in between before winding up back in Florida, and the tone doesn't change from place to place, good season or bad. Its not anecdotal, the bias actually predates Kotite, and is the product of the 1980s and the real beginning of National Sports Coverage beyond stuff like NFL Films, SportsMachine etc. (Although Sabol HIMSELF admitted to doing the coverage and retrospective of SB III with an Anti-Jets slant)

But whatever, believe what you want.

You’ve just summarized the definition of “anecdotal” lol

Yeah. Steve Sabol anecdotally apologized for spinning SB III as the Jets barely winning and casting them as the "Bad Guys"...https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/1339143-steve-sabol-mourning-the-nfls-great-loss-from-a-jets-perspective.amp.html

Stop it. Repeating sh*t over and over doesn't make you right, it makes you boring.

If the nfl suspects the jets are actually sabotaging games a lottery could happen

probably not next year but it would be connected to this jets team

They lost on a 51 yard FG to the Pats & a 46 yard TD that went 50 yards in the air & COULD OF BEEN dropped, happens all the time but wasn’t.
We just stink. And at this point there is nothing wrong with getting young players playing time & still trying to win vs much better competition than we have. Isn’t everyone who’s out of the playoffs already looking towards next year?
His take is preposterous & the same exact years he started covering the NFL to late!

Yes.  No one serious thinks the Jets are tanking.

What did Detroit do to deserve Matthew Stafford??

What did the Colts do to deserve Peyton Manning?

What did the Cowboys do to deserve Troy Aikman?

What did the Colts do (again) to deserve Andrew Luck?

Gee this is fun,  and EVERYONE can play!!

Jeremy Schaap is a pencil necked dweeb, and apparently thinks it would be a good idea to turn the NFL into a 10 team league.

Moron.

Yep.  If he's going to argue against the current system, the best bet would have been to argue that there shouldn't be a draft at all.  If he wants to turn the NFL into the EPL, then allowing players to sign with whatever team they wish would be the better choice.  Not continuing to have a draft but reversing the draft order.  It's an absolutely moronic take in every way.

All of a sudden the NY Jets get the #1 draft pick because they are a really bad team the NFL should change the draft format.

Give me a break.

That is the beauty of it. Other teams are awful and get the top pick, nobody says anything. Nobody calls out the winless Browns or Lions. The Jets are awful and get the top pick, and suddenly we have to stop rewarding awful teams with the top pick.

The NFL needs a rigged draft lottery like the NBA
