I'm rooting for Sam Darnold to win the next 4 games

I guess you didn't see his last game where he had 2 TD passes and ran for one.

We know you don't like him but get your facts straight.

He negated all of that by turning the ball over three times.  The Raiders scored points off of all 3 turnovers.

Adam Gase is a bad head coach.  Sam Darnold doesn’t need Adam Gase to tell him “don’t throw across your body, into triple coverage, while on the move, when we’re in scoring territory.”

Enough with this.

I really can't stand how Sam Darnold apologists point to Tannehill under Gase as some type of excuse for Sam Darnold under Gase.

Sam just stinks.

Tannehill under Gase: Winning record of 13-11 (2 games above .500) 437/663 (65.9%), 4,974 passing yards (7.5 yards per pass attempt), 36 TD's/21 INTs and a respectable QB Rating of 93.2.

S. Darnold under Gase: Losing record of 7-14 (7 games below .500), 415/682 (60.9%), 4,452 passing yards (6.5 yards per pass attempt), 24 TD's/22 INTs and a laughable QB Rating of 78.3.

I despise Adam Gase and I'm sorry but Ryan Tannehill is just an overall much better NFL QB than Sam Darnold could ever become (with or without "Gase") and has been nothing more than yet another USC bust QB.

He stinks.

Man this guy really does suck. And I don't mean Sam Darnold

A few years ago, fans of QB needy teams were shouting "suck for sam". Before Lawrence, many were considering Sam as the next big thing. Sam might not be in the same tier as Lawrence/Luck, but he was one of the highest graded prospects this decade.

Many here believe Lawrence will solve most of the Jets' problem, but that is false. The Jets have many underlying issues that will be masked if the they get Lawrence. If Sam plays the Jets out of the range of the top QBs, the Jets will be forced to address many of their underlying issues.

Everybody except for some homers knew the Jets offense would be awful this year. What we didn't know, was how bad the defense would be. The regression of the defense is mainly on Joe Douglas after whiffing on all his DB signings, trading away Jamal, and not addressing the pass rush.  I kept on telling people on this board that the O-line barely got better and the WRs got worse, and very few believed me. Many in the media said it would be unfair to judge Darnold this year.

So why are people shocked that Sam is performing poorly? The kid deserves a fair shot, and the Jets never gave it to him.

Sam deserves a lot of blame for his regression, but the Jets tried their hardest to make it impossible for him.

1. He was playing for a lame duck HC and had to learn a new system after his first year.

2. The Jets hired Adam Gase, who had failed to develop Ryan Tannehill, to develop Sam Darnold. It's sad how stupid this decision was.

3. The Jets then hired Joe Douglas, who did the bare minimum to help his young QB, because he wouldn't be held accountable for his performance.

Luck retired because his franchise couldn't protect him. Stafford has one of the most underwhelming careers for a franchise QB because the organization is dysfunctional. Burrow's leg got destroyed because the Bengals couldn't protect him. Justin Herbert is losing despite having the best rookie season of all time.

Thanks for the info Manish

Right, the OP said he didn't score 2 TDs in his last 5 games so I guess because he had 3 TO's, one that was totally on the OL, one because the WR was lazy, and one that was totally on him, he didn't score them. I have never seen people hate on a QB like this, not even Geno got this treatement

Jet fans brace yourselves as we hit the final stretch of the season. As Trevor continues to shine and the Jets continue to lose please be on the look out for:

 1.The Jet fan Darnold apologists

2. envious NE, MIA Buffalo fans - NE = No QB, MIA = Unsure often injured QB, Buffalo = has a inconsistent, dr jekyll and mr hyde type QB

3. Any fan base that don’t have Deshan Watson, Patrick Mahomes, Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers.

4. The narrative will go from, Trevor will go back to school to Trevor will avoid the Jets to Trevor will be a bust and the Jets will break him.

This is New York CITY, the most known city and place in the entire United States of America, we are loved as much as we are hated. Most people think Trevor Lawrence will be the next Mahomes, Rodgers etc. many fan bases are envious.

just prepare for these things Jets fans ?

p.S. What y’all expect from a bills fan?Upstate blows compared to the City ?

If jets pick 1, JD is taking Lawrence. Nothing can stop that. Not fans, not media, not Kiper, not nobody.

it really wouldn't be bad to fall off 1. We would trade down a couple times and really fill some gaps in this roster we cant with just the 1 pick.

This team is a disaster all around. I have made the Joe Burrow comparison before....Bengals are still a 2 win team

And the Burrow comment is just as ridiculous today as it was whenever you've said it before.

A FQB in place means a team has made the biggest move towards a return to contention.  Easiest upgrade to recognize with regards to the game, not hard to understand

Absolutely nobody here (and I mean nobody) cares what a Buffalo Bills fan, who spends more of his free time on a Jets forum than discussing his own team, is rooting for when it comes to the Jets and their players.

I'm rooting for Darnold to be traded to the Bills and start over Josh next season.

100 or so mil in cap space, good use of the multiple early round picks, TL and the team is moving in the right direction quickly

Sorry Bills fans dont see it that way but not terribly shocked either.  Proof is in the trolling thread to say all this isnt true

If  i were a fan of other teams in afc east, i would root for that too. JL will very quickly be the best Qb in that division. That said, they have zero chance of beating seattle or the rams, and maybe a 25% chance of beating browns. Will likely come down to Ne game which Stidham plays. Really rooting for a Jags win in next 4 wks, which would seal this thing.

tl,dr. Sam sucks. Always has, always will. Anybody would be an improvement. Shoot, I bet Seattle wouldn't even entertain a straight up swap for Geno.. and Geno is garbage.

Which has what exactly to do with Burrow?

But now you dont want anyone to say he can be a Burrow because he hasnt taken a snap yet but you can comment about him to make your negative points without seeing him make a throw in the NFL?

Lawrence is head and shoulders above Burrow as a college prospect.  Just keep that in mind

If Sam can't throw at least 3 TDs against the worst Seattle NFL pass defense of All-Time (as Jet fans have reminded me of all year); well then there's something seriously wrong with the kid as a QB (maybe he can be moved to Fullback like Tim Tebow or go back to being a Linebacker).

Bump.

Against the worst pass defense within NFL history of All-Time (as I've been told and reminded throughout all of 2020 by Jet fans) Sam Darnold just went...

• 14/26 - 53.8% - (Josh Allen of Wyoming).

• Only 132 passing yards (embarrassing).

• 5.1 yards per pass attempt (gross).

• 0 TDs (disgusting).

• An atrocious QB Rating of 68.1 (typical of him).

•3 points (expected out of him).

• (missed FGs or not) he's now gone 5/6 games played without a single TD thrown (and this is literally approaching David Carr status).

✓ Geno Smith during mop up duty just looked better than Sam Darnold.

Wow.  Just watched the video.  Sam is the same mess he was back in 2017.  Uncoachable.  Needs to change his attitude or he will be out of the league.

they invest and run casinos in Niag Falls Canadian side.

and run QB camps whne they retire, with jordan plamer as the ceo.

What does how many years you think theyre ahead of us have to do with me saying to a bills fan "Sorry Bills fans dont see it that way but not terribly shocked either.  Proof is in the trolling thread to say all this isnt true"?
