Bugg
I suspect he'll pass Ruth-and then find some reason not to play much more. Apparently Hank Aaron and Bonds have had a falling out, and if he were to go for 755, it won't be the lovefest he was hoping it would be. And if you look at the day in, day out hard work Aaron put in and all the other crap he had to deal with, it would be a really ghastly fate to have that great all-time record taken from him by a cheater.Shame enough he will pass Ruth. 755 would be a toxic nightmare-no sponsors, stadiums filled with fans chanting "STEROIDS!" no Aaron or worse Aaron badmouthing Bonds. MLB would be put in an impossible spot, and the roids thing would never go away. As an aside, may be Aaron cold now finally bask in some serious appreciation for his great career that he never got when it happened.

GimmeShelter
310 AB's 145 BB 65 INT BB 49 HR's 98 RBI's .330 Avg. NL MVP....NL Comeback player of the year. MLB all-time HR leader. Homers off Wagner in NLCS game 6 to eliminate the Mets. ALCS MVP Yankees intentionally walk him 21 times in the WS but Randy Winn/Moises Alou have huge series and the Giants get Barry his ring in 7 games. Considering the garbage the Giants threw up last year, I see it as a long shot to them making the playoffs much less the WS. Even if they win that weak NL West, that's not gonna happen. 165ABs 19 HRs 56 BB 35 INT 52 RBIs Bonds gets injured by two weeks before midsummer classic and is gone for 2nd half post all star break. If his knee is as bad as he wants everyone to know it is, I don't see him lasting a full season, like mbn said. That said, He will pass Ruth this year, which is unfortunate. It's funny that something that we should consider ourselves lucky in our lifetime to see is going to go down with such discussion and controversy, but Bonds brought this on himself. GimmeShelter
Will not happen. BANK ON IT. I doubt that he plays more then 1/2 the season. Hope he does as the Giants have a nice veteran team but he is the key to any success. I think a Bonds -Yanks WS would go through the roof ratings wise.
