Does fields still have enough value for a team to trade up for?

This is really the key question.  Everyone just loves to say "trade back", but is Fields enough of an incentive for someone to be willing to give up a package of picks for.  Maybe.  Maybe not.

Lets just hope he has a huge game against Clemson in thee playoffs.

Didn't the Jags beat the Colts week 1? So they have a better conf winning percentage and Jets are still in the 1 spot? Note that I've been drinking....a lot.....for the last several months. So, could be off...

Conference Tiebreaking Procedures

If a tie remains between teams with both the same record and the same strength of schedule, and the teams are from the same conference but not the same division, then the conference tiebreaking procedures are followed:

  1. Head-to-head record: the team with the worse record in games played against each other is awarded the higher pick in the NFL draft order.
  2. Winning percentage in games played within the conference: the team with the lower winning percentage is awarded the higher pick.
  3. Winning percentage in common games (min of 4): the team with the lower winning percentage is awarded the higher pick.
  4. Strength of victory: the aggregate winning percentage for opponents each team defeated is calculated and the team with the lower strength of victory is awarded the higher pick.
They lose it on strength of schedule. This has been discussed here to death. .. its not official yet but the winning percentage of the Jets opponents essentially assures it.

Draft 1st tiebreaker is SOS. Jets have much higher SOS % since they have tougher schedule and it is not close enough to change by the end of the season.
