Yes for sure.  I was convinced he was the real deal.  He has not improved, partly or more than partly not his fault but that really doesn't matter.

I wanted Lawrence too but the opportunity to build an all-time great OL with Sewell and a FA like Thuney or Scherff is also exciting.

I did , although I was one of the few who wanted Allen over Sam and Baker.  I did feel  with any of the 3 we would be fine for the foreseeable future.

I didn't expect the mental aspect of Sam's game to not progress after 3 seasons. I knew about the fumbling issues , the lack of games , playing in a warm weather climate and the fact his foot mechanics were not the best.  However, I expected him to be more of a leader to be able to read D's and make adjustments and not make the same mental mistakes repeatedly.

No. He was drafted as high solely off of his RS freshman performance in the Rose Bowl. He had all the warts he still has now in his RS Sophmore year at USC.

I did not believe Darnold or Baker would be good picks. I didn't like either of their attitudes for different reasons.

Baker, let's just say his belief in himself was a bit too much.

Darnold was milk toast. No deep fire or distinguishable personality. 

Two guys I felt were at opposite extremes of personality. Darnold needed to do more talking and Baker needed to do a lot less. Only Baker seems to have moved the needle in that regard (and gotten a dominant run game to help him out)

Baker has the best OL in the entire NFL, Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt and Jarvis Landry.  He is enjoying his Case Keenum season.

I'm no QB expert but was really hoping the fin's picked him up later in the draft last year. He grew up in Green Bay and has tried to model himself to Farve...I know he's no Farve...he's a gamer and I love his moxie.
