It actually feels pretty good to be able to root for a win tonight. 

Going from a 1-13 Jets season with Adam Gase to a 0-0 Knicks season with Tom Thibodeau feels like a breath of fresh air right now. 

I just ordered the NBA league pass for Team Pass for $199.99 last night. At first I was going to order the NBA team pass for $119.99 (just the Knicks). But then I thought to myself if we're going to truly have an NBA playoff run (as I'm expecting this year) then why not spend an extra $80 so this way down the stretch I'll be able to tune into other teams games without having to go through the frustration of steaming. Also just ordered today down here in Florida the MSG Network for $55 per month in order to feel at home again (can cancel at anytime) in order to check out the pre and post games. 

I'm super pumped for 7:00!

It reminds me so much of the 1990's where I'm 100% confident that we're going to eliminate Atlanta. 

This is actually one of my All-Time favorite Knick teams (in terms of excitement and overall confidence). 

• Tom Thibs is our Defensive Minded Pat Riley. 2020-2021's NBA's #1 Defense (which is what made the Knicks of the 90's, awesome to us). 

• Julius Randle down low has been our Patrick Ewing with a 3 pointer. The #'s he put up this year were absolutely nuts. MVP type season for this young bully Julius. 

• RJ Barrett is becoming our John Starks/Allen Houston @ SG. A 2G who gives our fan base hope and excitement. Kid is developing into an NY household name as only a 2nd year player and already in the playoffs as an Eastern Conference starter. 

• Derrick Rose is our veteran Mark Jackson @ PG. However Rose right now is balling out of his mind and if he were to cut the dreads he'd look like Rose of Chicago because he's ATTACKING. 

• Mitchell Robinson/Nerlens Noel/ Taj Gibson and now Obi Toppin has literally (throughout all of 2020-2021) reminded me of those throwback days of the NLR (no layup rule) featuring Charles Oakley/Anthony Mason/Charles Smith and then Marcus Camby. These big men will give us a chance against any team down low; especially with coach Thibs running the Defense. 

• Immanuel Quickley plays with the type of energy that only Spree played with. Instant Offense. Will pester you full Court non stop Defense too. Different positions and different styles of play but the same electric energy for the Garden. 

• Alec Burks reminds me of an LJ Larry Johnson type player. @ 6'6 almost 220lbs he's smooth as butter. And not scared of a big moment. 

• Reggie Bullock I don't know who he reminds me of but I'm glad to have his 3 pt. Shooting ability. 

etc. I love this team me and my daughter watch every game. 

And man lol you just REALLY reminded me of my old self with your quote above because

 as a kid throughout the 1990's I remember always looking passed teams in the playoffs and watching seedings for the next round.

The Pacers (Reggie Miller ripped my heart out 3x as series went 3-3) but I always expected and believed Ewing would get it done. 

And especially against the Heat lol we dominated them like 3-1 or 4-1 throughout the 90's I always looked past them.

In order to focus on the Chicago Bulls; I feared MJ and Scottie and later on Rodman. And knew we'd always run into them. I always rooted for other teams to beat them so we wouldn't have to lose to them ? Chicago was the only time I FEARED and wouldn't look past. 

I miss those days. Playoff watching is fun for me again. 

But yeah I was always so confident in our NY Knicks. I just knew they would fight every night. 

And I have these same feelings again over these Knicks. I'm not scared of Atlanta. If Trae Young is Reggie Miller so be it; but good luck to him surviving a 7 game series against us. 

I want Milwaukee and Brooklyn to beat each other up. I'll admit. I'm scared of Kyrie, Harden and Durant. Brooklyn feels like our Bulls. I'd love to play them in the E.C.F because I know we'll upset and eliminate Simmons and Embiid. 

Knicks vs. Philly. 

Eastern Conference Semi-Finals. 

I wanna see that so bad. 

Hawks should be down 0-2 against us (however we're now 4-1 against them this year) and I'm confident because this is the team I wanted 1st round.

I can't remember the last time I was looking forward to so many homegrown Knicks youth and these kids are going to change the culture of our New York Knicks basketball; especially Obi Toppin who's a homegrown kid from Brooklyn who's so happy to be a Knick. 

We're making the playoffs here in 2020-2021 for the first time dating back to our 2012-2013 season (54-28). 

Tonight is the beginning of an exciting playoff run for us longtime suffering Knicks/Jets fans.
