The Jets Draftology...Take it to the bank!!!!!

The Jets will draft Vernon Davis TE. They will trade down in the draft to get him. Davis serves 2 purposes. At 6'3: and 260lbs he runs a 4.3+ 40 yard dash in the combine and he can block which is like adding another lineman to your line. He serves 2 purposes blocking and 20-30 yard threat.

New England had a history of drafting tight ends. They drafted 6 over the last few years. The Jets will emulate this. Davis is too good to pass up!

Jets will trade with SF to get Davis because SF need D'Brick to protect last years investment at QB. They will also acquire a #3 pick next year.

In a seperate deal, they will also trade John Abraham to Washington for a #3 pick in this years draft and a #3 pick next year. They will load up for next years draft.

STONE COLD LOCK!!!!! Copy and put on your refridgerator!!!!!

Doug Jolley is horrific and Chris Baker is an unrestricted free agent. We need a mother****ing tight end. I would be happy with any of these guys:

1. Vernon Davis

2. Mercedes Lewis

3. Leonard Pope

4. Anthony Fasano

5. Dominique Byrd

5. Tim Day.

I love the logic being used against drafting a tight end. "We drafted tight ends in the first round, so why do it again?" Because it is still obviously a need. Go ahead, let Jolley start next year and embarass us again.

dude ill bet money this doesn't happen. You are talking about mutliple trades and focusing on a specific player at a position that isn't a dire need nor is it a premium position and then you say take it to the bank? Stone cold mortal lock? um.. care to put money on it?

I think he is related to ricky WIlliams, He is smoking something. 2 3's for abe is not going to get it done, It startes with a 1. I like the idea of trading down and if a team wants the pick so bad it will at least be a one and a 2. If they trade dow to 6 maybe even 2 trade downs. This seems to be a deep draft at multiple positions and we can start the new foundation.

Wait and see grasshopper! I looked at New England's draft history and TE's came up everytime. A TE is an offenive Lineman and should be taken as such!

Keep it on your fridge Vilma-Miller-Abraham-Edwards-Heimredinger-farckhead! You have been busting my balls since day. Now its a freaking war! You wants some some....come get some! I guarantee you the next post I write about you will ban me on this site for life!

Hey Resident JN A$$hole, that wish can be granted very easily.

The Jets haven't had a TE since Mickey Shuler and that's never stopped them. Why piss away a draft on a TE when we so desperately need positions that a team is actually centered around.

Hell, it makes perfect sense to me. Pass on a LT that could be the next Walter Jones. Pass on a QB, which we desperately need.

i bust you b/c you post junk like this. Despite the fact that this makes no sense at all, you could atleast say you think the jets should do it, not that its a guaranteed thing. The New York Jets do not use the TE position in such a way that another pick should be used on it in this draft. We need offensive linemen, a good nose tackle, a replacement at runningback, recievers that dont drop everything thrown their way, and YES, stability at the quarterback position(and yes it hurts me to say that)--MUCH more than we need a TE. I don't like jolley, but i say give him one more year. Does he deserve it? Not one bit, but Mangini and Tannenbaum can only do soo much in one year, and to throw any bit of their focus towards an insignificant piece of the Jets offense would be rather idiotic.

atleast, in my opinion

yeah...i mean...this guys soo good he's not going to need a quarterback to throw to him, much less an offensive line to protect the quarterback that would have to throw to him!
