Absolutely fair point. And I was all over Darnold after that bowl game. Loved him.

Justin Fields is one of the most elite and hyped prospects- right there with Trevor. Look at fields numbers since taking the field in college- all better than Lawrence. No comparison (as prospects) and I am huge Darnold guy.

Eh, it's gonna make JD's decision way tougher. Not like the Jets don't need a QB. If he passes on Fields and he becomes a franchise QB while the Jets continue to remain in QB purgatory, then JD is finished. 

JD will almost have to take Fields, especially if he performs like this against Alabama next week (assuming OSU does win tonight that is).

Darnold was 33 of 53 for 453 yards with five touchdowns and one interception vs PSU in the Rosebowl. Jeeeezzz his signature game and he still only completed 62% of his passes.

I guess we'll see.  Still think JD sticking with Sam but this could net us an incredible return for the pick.
