Tom Herman Fired

I'm completely on-board with the Meyer/Herman duo if they want to make it happen.  Although, I'm guessing Herman can pick a pretty good place to be a HC if he wanted even after being fired.  Honestly, I would take Herman as a HC as well if push came to shove.

All I really want is someone that can install a good offense.

I know some really good NFL coaches came out of the college ranks.  But I am always antsy about college coaches.  So much of their success is based on recruiting which has not direct effect of the professional game.  And managing 18-21 year old's is very different from managing 22-40 year old's.

I would like to see some NFL coaching experience on the resume.

Like some have said already, Herman was on Urban's staff at OSU, went to Houston where he won big, and was the hot name a few years ago.

To be honest, I'm surprised he failed at Texas.

Texas, like USC is a sleeping GIANT.

You don't even have to recruit that hard with the insane in-state talent.

Seems to be a problem then - maybe they should try to recruit a bit harder and they wouldn’t suck.
